Self-Sealing Slime Smart Bicycle Tube with Schrader Valve

DJK: I was on a 45 mile ebike ride, on way home noticed rear rim was hitting pavement bumps. I stopped and noticed a tiny bit of green in the middle of the tire, then saw the nail. Threw in my spare can of stop leak tire seal/inflator and was doing pretty good on way home but it did start to leak more and green goo was all over. Main thing is I made it home, it was a very low tire but it stayed seated. 5 stars in my book. This would have been a 2 hour push home if I didnt make it. Checked in morning and the tire was still slightly inflated. I think going over the nail over and over was causing it to leak, then re-seal each time.

Rupert J.: So my wife's pandemic bike had a slow leak in the rear tire. After reinflating the tire several times I finally got tire of it and ordered this tube. It was easy to install even though it's probably been at least 40 years since I've last changed a bike tire. Hopefully the slime inside the tube works as described so that the next time she gets a leak we'll never know.

Noohnooh: Alors je ne remets pas en cause l'efficacite du produit mais il faut vraiment savoir que cela rend votre roue plus lourde. Je pense qu'il faut le savoir avant de commander.. personnellement je pense que je vais remettre une autre chambre à air je n'aime pas le poids pris par la roue ça fait une grosse différence au démarrage. Je vais me contenter des bandes en plastique pour la protection des épines et autres sûrement moins efficace mais bon..a voir si je ,m'habitue ou je l'enlève après quelques sorties ..

wickedbusa: I've had these on my bike for the last 50 miles. Rode a trail over the weekend and ran over about a dozen of those thorny things that fall off trees. I have about a dozen of them embedded in my front wheel. Each one I pulled resulted in green slime coming out of the tire. Once I got them all off, I continued to ride and my tire stayed inflated for the remainder of the 10 miles. Its been a few days and my tire still has lots of pressure and has not gone flat. Great product!

Daniele: Premetto che ne avevo ordinate 2 e una delle due quando l'ho montata mi è rimasta in mano la valvola di metallo....tranciata di netto...🙄
Fatto segnalazione difetto ad Amazon e il giorno dopo ne avevo già una nuova in sostituzione.
Non saprei dire se lo Slime interno funzioni o meno ...vedremo....per ora 500km e nessun problema

D.: Montate a giugno 2023 a causa delle continue forature essendo la zona dove abito ricca di rovi nei sentieri MTB. Una volta aperte, si sentiva proprio il fluido per chiudere le forature all'interno della camera d'aria.
Inizialmente ero dubbioso sulla reale efficacia del prodotto, ma, il 25-08-23 durante un giro mi sono ritrovato con la gomma posteriore della MTB che perdeva pressione. Quando mi sono fermato, ho notato sei spine di grosse dimensioni e un'altra quantità non definita di pinte di spine di rovo più piccole.
Mentre toglievo le spine, grandi e piccole, si vedeva il fluido all'interno della camera d'aria uscire leggermente dalla gomma, una volta tolte tutte, ho fatto fare alcuni giri a vuoto molto lentamente alla ruota e poi l'ho rigonfiata e ho concluso il giro. Speravo reggesse tutto trovandomi a oltre 10km da casa in mezzo al nulla, e così è stato. Oggi, 27-08-23, la gomma è ancora gonfia.
Posso dire con assoluta sincerità e certezza che quanto scritto nelle caratteristiche di Amazon corrisponde alla realtà; il prodotto è buono ed affidabile; di facile da montaggio; il tappo della valvola, serve anche per smontare/rimontare lo spillo della valvola,...

Albert Denuc CompteAlbert Denuc Compte: No había hecho todavía una reseña porque me quería esperar a un pinchazo, y mira por donde hoy lo tuve, en medio de la montaña y lejos de todo.

Os explico: Mientras hoy iba por la montaña mi rueda trasera se a pinchado y al detenerme para haber que había pasado he podido ver que el pinchazo no era de esos simples, había penetrado un clavo de unos 7 cm de largo por 4 mm de ancho.

Al parar y al revisar la situación, he quitado el clavo, seguidamente me puesto un poco de aire a la camara y a continuación he dado algunas vuelta a la rueda para que el liquido se moviera y comenzara a tapar el agujero que ha hecho el clavo, para terminar y al ver que la camara era efectiva, y he podido comprobar que se había tapado el agujero que a dejado el clavo, he terminado de inflar la camara y finalmente he podido llegar a casa sin ningún problema, y sin perder nada de aire, es más llevo ahora en casa unas 5 horas y esta igual de presión.

Así que ya he pedido otra camara para la rueda delantera, porque como puedo ver es efectiva esta camara para pinchazos, hasta con un clavo.

Why am I wasting my time updating this review? Because of the principle and to help others. They say the most generous thing you can do is to help someone you don't know without expecting anything in return.

Initially, Amazon replied to my initial return "Please contact the seller." Amazon gave the link to contact Slime and I sent them an email. Slime never replied in any way? Like I said before, maybe; they are too busy handling all their problems with a defective "lot" of tubes, or they sell so many tubes that they are happy with their revenue stream so screw the defective negative reviews true or false, or they simply DO NOT care? I'm speculating and I really do not know. What I do know is that they will not make things right and they ignore me.

YOU WOULD "THINK" THAT SLIME WOULD CONTACT THE PERSON THAT HAS THE "TOP CRITICAL REVIEW" on the world's largest site??? Apparently not! You can't fix stupid!

At some point Amazon decided to simply refund my money. So thanks to Amazon.

NOW FOR THE REAL REASON I'M WRITING THIS UPDATE.

Dr. X: I think these are good tubes, but overrated. The "no more flats" is certainly not true. But at the same time, they have worked well for me in about five thousand miles of riding. Here is my experience: They do get punctures the same way as regular tubes, but if you are moving along the puncture will partially seal. I also use very tough tires (Continental Gatorskin). You can see the green stuff ooze out at the site of the puncture before "sealing". On a recent occasion, my tire went completely flat at a very inconvenient location. I pumped it up instead of trying to replace the tube which I carry (not the slime type). I pumped and spun the tire as fast as possible; repeating several times. This got it up to maybe 60 psi which was good enough to ride back to my car some 30 miles away. When I got there, the tire was still rigid enough to continue riding on. But at home after a few days, the tire was down fairly low, although not completely flat. I replaced it at home, which is a lot easier than doing it on the road, especially since I find it difficult to take the tire off the rim due to arthritis in one of my hands.
