Bear: I got a couple of these to make sure my toddler couldn't escape. They work as intended, but the screws are super cheap. Even with pilot holes drilled the heads stripped out with almost no effort. Several of mine are halfway screwed in and stripped out, but it is just robust enough to keep my toddler from being able to escape. Certainly wouldn't prevent the door being kicked in or anything.
