Michael DeHavenMichael DeHaven: Seems to be a sturdy piece of gear. I needed something to securely hold a pepper spray can to my North Face backpack, tight enough so it wouldn't fall out but flexible enough to be able to grab it quickly if I need to use it when walking my dog. This was perfect

GregSCSA: Waited until I tested mine in a real-world situation vs. training before I reviewed it. Here goes:
Did they work? Yes. I used mine for a flashlight on my upper chest. The flashlight would "pop" off of the connector when I would drag myself through on my chest. Kind of "expected" but on the same token not good. I did not lose my flashlight as it was connected to the elastic but I might have lost it.
Conclusion - would I trust it in combat again? No except it is the most convenient way to carry a flashlight! I am just not "sold" on using it without having a leash on the object I use it with - if that makes sense. I have to say that even abused and ignored during a particularly rough time the plastic part popped off but the unit stayed together.
I welcome contact by the company if they have any ideas on how to make sure an item will not pop off! Again, it is one of the best solutions out in the wild but in combat and where you absolutely cannot lose the item ... I am not sold.

Robert Ames: I got this for “tacti-cool”, added it to the shoulder strap of my backpack thinking it might be able to hold a flashlight. It does a pretty decent job of holding things but you need to have a good latch-point for the two rubber bands to hold tight. For the flashlight I’m using it on, it it didn’t have some nubs, ridges, and a flared light, it would potentially slide out. Also, it’s slightly tricky to pop/slide open and closed but it’s definitely doing what you’re buying it for. Worth a chance buying one and seeing if it works for you and you’d want to buy more.

René Cadieux: With a few tie-wraps to anchor it solid, once anchored, it will perfectly hold a BCD hose to the vest without crimping the tube.

Amazon Customer: Holds large / heavy objects securely on my molle bags (axe / cooking pans / large flashlight) - without issue. I also used one of these on my sling pack to hold a survival knife, works excellent.

Christian: This clip is fantastic! I use it for flashlights and have found it to be very secure and stable. Pervious to this I was using Molle Dominator Straps, but the elastic on those is not very long and I was overextending it and thusly it was loosening quite a lot. As I'd rather have a purpose built clip, instead of replacing the elastic cord in the dominator straps with a longer piece, this seemed appropriate and I was in no way disappointed! Of course the cost is an issue, as the shipping price was nearly equal to the price of the unit itself - but given that my preferred flashlight costs over $100 the expense to keep it tightly secured to my pack seemed more than worth it. Now that I've taken it on several excursions through rough terrain, often needing to climb or crawl, and bumping and scraping the clip in the process, I can say that it's quite tough and has protected my flashlight without fail! I'd certainly buy another one if I needed to! Highly recommended!

Ronald GoodmanRonald Goodman: I love this clip! My responses to some of the negative reviews:
1) Vertical Mounting Complaint: My Molle rucksack has vertical straps, so vertical attachment is not a problem for me. If your Molle system doesn't have vertical as well as horizontal attach points, blame it on your Molle system, not this gear clip. If your Molle system doesn't have vertical attach points, you can also try these: ( Condor 4" MOD Strap Tan ) which come in various colors and lengths. I used them between 2 horizontal Molle straps to make a vertical attach point, then attached this gear clip to the Mod strap. Not ideal, but it works for my fishing rod and trekking poles. See Pic.
2) Does not securely hold gear: There is some merit to this one, especially when vertically attaching gear. Because the clip is smooth plastic, vertically attaching gear that also has a smooth surface doesn't work all that well. Part of the solution is to adjust the elastic straps for the 1st connector properly first. If that doesn't work, which was the case for my trekking poles, I super glued a 1.5" x 2" strip of rubber inner tube scrap to the base of the clip, and wrapped that between the clip and the poles before...
