S. McCandlish: I just used the sticky foam, and did not screw in the transmitter (button). It seems to hold fine, but I guess we'll see after a while. The max volume on this thing is quite loud (too loud for my use for this, in a small place), but it was easy enough to turn it down. I would suggest to the manufacturer to make the buttons on the receiver have black lettering, since its nearly impossible to see which is which except in very good lighting. I found most the tone choices silly to annoying (they're almost all little tunes). It would be more useful to have a variety of more usual doorbell tones. It's also weird that this comes in a set of 1 receiver and 1 transmitter, and a set of 2 receivers (noise-makers) and one transmitter, but not a set with 2 transmitters (buttons) and one receiver. Way more people have two doors than have huge mansions so spacious they can't hear their door bell from the other side of the house. At least make additional transmitters available. Anyway, I am not using this at much of a range (maybe 25 ft.), but it is going through three walls, and seems to work every time. (Then again, if someone were out there trying to ring it for half...

emmanuel vaisman: You REALLY don't need that many door rings!...and outside button could benefit from being self lit when on standby. Light comes on only when someone is pressing it. Makes hard to find in the dark.Otherwise it works...
