The Commander: Ordered this set to use on a fishing boat in México. Sounded just right in the sales ad. I tried it today and found that the shower towel is so smooth that it's like just washing by had. No scrub action at all. The regular towel does indeed require a pat dry yet it still, for me, fails to completely dry the skin. I can't now return it but did order a different brand replacement. I cannot recommend this travel towel set.

Bea: They are typical micro fiber. Didn't feel the need to spend a fortune on a gym towel. You do need to pat dry instead of rubbing. think some of my older ones (different brand) are better for rubbing, but they were expensive.

Dean: Bought this quick-drying towel to take on a camping trip -- it works fantastic. Very absorbent! I found that it works best if you pat yourself dry. To dry, I hung the towel over a clothesline and it was dry by evening. I bought the large 30x60 size which came with a smaller 12x24 towel -- it was nice to be able to wrap a towel around my waist, but I could have easily dried myself using the small towel.
I saw some reviews about the colored ones needing to be washed first to avoid colors bleeding, but I bought the light grey one and did not notice any color bleed.
Love it, and would recommend to anyone who is going on a backpacking trip, through-hiking, or traveling abroad.
