Kim: I had two previous Scala hats just like this one. The first lasted many years, the second I lost at a hotel pool. Someone else is very lucky to have found it. The new hat is not as sturdy (reason for 4 stars) but it may be easier to pack & cooler than previous versions. I did not wear the new hat yet but I’m guessing I’ll love it.

Ellen Benitz: I really wanted the rounded top hat but that isn’t what I got. I ordered another and got the same thing, not sure how to get the rounded crown hat.
Hat is of good quality, I’ve had another of this brand for 30+ years and wear it while gardening.

Larry: My wife borrowed a sun hat for a recent trip we took to the Caribbean. It was a high-end straw hat, but she really liked it. When we got home we did some research and came upon this straw hat. We were very pleased with the quality and the packability of the hat. The only thing was that the hat we got had a flat top, whereas the one pictured here had a rounded top. It did not make that much difference to us, and we were just pleased to get a quality sun hat for a reasonable price.
