Travis: Well packed, no delivery issues. Easy to assemble with clear instructions. It's cheap MDF which I hate but they did a decent job of making something out of that material. The finish seems decently durable but I didn't try to test it. It fit on top of and matched our current shelves so that met our criteria. Price was high IMO even though it was cheaper on amz than this site.

ABD III: This Sauder bookcase really fits the bill!
We needed a bookcase for a relatively simple purpose, and did not want to spend too much.
Assembly is fairly easy, and the build quality is very good.
The only thing I might point out, is that unlike the woman in the associated video where she claims to have built hers in fifteen minutes, I beg to differ. I have constructed many knock down pieces of furniture over many years; and while this bookcase is certainly easy enough to put together, it does take a bit longer than fifteen minutes to construct.
More importantly, though: This is a nice bookcase for reasonable money, and well-built.

Maisey: I ordered 1 and then got 2 more. Looks better than I expected. They each arrived well packed and in perfect condition with all parts. Be patient and follow instructions closely and you should have no problems. Back is tricky putting on but have to move it around very slightly to get it perfect. Only thing I don’t like are the cheap stickers to cover the screw holes - they will easily fall off over time. I pushed my 3 shelves together to make 1 long bookcase. Looks awesome!

Alain Malo: Très bien conçue pour bricoleur amateur. Il n'y a qu'a suivre les instructions à la lettre; ne pas sauter les étape.
Très tape à l'oeil. comme disait l'autre, il n'y a pas de roulettes. Pas fait pour être déplacée.
Seule note négative, il a fallu commander deux fois. Elle s'est perdu à Mississauga.

K. Leasher: I bought 4 of the "select cherry" finish. I think they are very good for what they are, particle board furniture. I got 1 for $89 and the other 3 for $78. Solid wood furniture would likely have been many hundreds of dollars more. The instructions were clear and it was easy to assemble. One tip is to not cover the cams until the very end so you can tighten them several times (some may loosen as you move the unit around during assembly). The cherry finish is very nice although 2 of the 4 I bought had minor damage to the tops (not bad enough to warrant replacement). Although the Sauder packing is extremely good, with corner reinforcements outside the main box, the top piece is packed at the very bottom and I suspect is subjected to greater stress during transport than the other pieces. I would encourage Sauder to redesign the packing order, so the top is placed maybe in the middle or top of the stack. One other minor issue I had was 1 of the units was missing 1 of the 5 angle brackets for the bottom trim piece, so I bought some 3/4" brackets from a hardware store. PJ Johnson: After l built it, tightened all the screws again, nailed on the back( which keeps the unit square) I set it where I wanted it, and made a note to never move it. Not even to another wall in the same room. I bought this unit as its the same brand as all my older bookcases, and its not the starter quality, but its not stable and the material is poor quality MDF, didn't know there was such a thing. Not for anyone who moves.

Matthew: Easy to build simple instructions, and looks great it's hard to tell its OSB, just be easy when screwing it together. Great bookshelf

Alison Bierk: The shelf was easy enough to put together - took me a few hours, but I was ill at the time and am not great at assembling things. The Washington cherry is a lovely colour. It actually resembles real wood, so it looks very nice as a bookcase. It's also very sturdy, so it's safe if you have animals that climb all over things.
