FreyjaFreyja: Overall, this bookshelf is beautiful. It fits in well with my other furniture, the shelves haven’t bowed under the weight of my books, and it holds two full totes of books.

Set up was easy enough, although it didn’t come with tools, (mentioning in case someone else is moving into a new apartment and has not an allen wrench to their name,) so be sure to have a hammer (or a rock,) for the nearly 100 finishing nails for the back panel.

My bookshelf unfortunately arrived with a chip in the corner of a shelf and a large visible crack through the face of another shelf. Although it doesn’t seem to affect the functionality of the shelf, it is pretty unsightly. Luckily, I have more than enough books to cover up a majority of this crack, but if I were more of a minimalist and wanted to decorate with a mix of books and decor, this would’ve absolutely been a no-go.

All in all, this is good for the price, but don’t expect master craftsmanship.

Zerachiel: Dencent quality MDF and particle board with veneer. Product is well packaged although one of the round peices and an indention that split the veneer. Likely happened during manufacturing not shipping so a little bummed it made it through QC but otherwise very happy with it. Matches my hardwood cherry desk perfectly

N GerrardN Gerrard: I loved putting this together. The parts are of high quality and the instructions are easy to follow. I would give this four stars if I didn’t need to order replacement doors. They were cracked down the side. The box did not appear damaged so they must have made it past quality control when it was packaged.

AK18: The instruction is very detailed and clear, but there is a lot of parts that require assembly, so it takes 4-5 hours to put together one shelve. No problem with any holes, they are all measured and pre-drilled precisely, so all parts fit well. We ordered two shelves, and one came with a damaged door. On the front page of the instruction there is a link to order parts, it took few minutes to submit the order, and new door came within a couple of days via FedEx. Very fast and efficient service, I would recommend this product.

CanCustomerCanCustomer: I had a high level of anticipation after reading one of the reviews. However, it came with huge disappointment:
- two pieces came broken (see picture). It is beyond me how it passes the quality control!!
- the product looks very cheap - made of particle boards instead of advertised MDF.
- the installation process is tedious and painful, the manual says no powered tools can be used.
- it says "made in U.S.A.", I have to say the quality is worse than the Chinese products at the same price.
