Me: I’ve played for many years with different kinds of grips. My last set of grips were the super cushy wrapped kind (Wilson). They were nice for a number of years and then started to disintegrate.

I figured it couldn’t be that hard to replace grips, so I bought these. The process was simple. You don’t need any special equipment. Just a utility knife (aka razor) and some mineral spirits.

1. Lightly cut the old grip starting at the bottom. Peel the grip off as you slice up the old grip. There’s tape under the grip, so that will provide a small layer of protection between the utility knife and club shaft.
2. Apply the new grip tape to the shaft.
3. Grab the new grip, plug the small hole in the end with your finger, and pour a tablespoon or two of mineral spirits into the grip. Plug the other opening and shake it to distribute the mineral spirits.
4. Put the grip on the end of the shaft and start pushing down. If you have a lot of mineral spirits, the grip may slide on easily. If it’s really hard, pull the grip off and add more mineral spirits to the shaft, and the grip, and reapply.

Tape is so easy to apply with the cut strip. The re gripping soloution is brilliant to work with and fresh smell and non toxic. Hardest thing is cleaning your old shafts, white spirit worked well for mine. Putting the new grips on when you follow the directions are so easy to slide down the shaft. Smart QR code in packaging will help and guide you. I was so not looking forward to trying this as I've never done it before. But the product is so so easy to use. 25mins to complete from start to finish 15mins to the last one as confidence grew. So pleased and again, I never used the vice. Product does come with rubber vice grip. 3-4 hours before I can swing. My old grips were like glass. So the difference is excellent for me. So worth the money.

Megan Sprouse: Got these to replace my old worn out grips. I decided to go for these because they were cheaper and I didn't want to waste a lot of money on grips if I messed up replacing them for the first time myself. This kit came with everything needed to complete the job. I would note that the "tape" for them is not a traditional tape but more of a double sided sticky piece of plastic wrap.

I did the replacement on my own after watching a couple YouTube videos and waited 2 days before playing a round of golf with them. While out on the course I noticed the grips were fairly tacky and didn't slip at all. I went with the standard size in my case and so far they've held up quite well after a couple rounds.

Duncan Cross: I've been playing golf for over 35 years. The price of equipment is so out of control now it's ridiculous. This doesn't exclude grips. I've been re-gripping my own clubs ever since my Town Golf store wanted almost $200 to reqrip my old MacGregors. Pfft any dummy can reqrip a golf club. I've played Lamkin, Golf Pride, Winn, Tacki Mac, Ping and a whole slew of other of no name, probably Asian made golf grips. Let me tell you, for under $60, these are the real deal. They feel good with just enough tackiness to keep your hands where they should be, firm on your club. If you want to spend more, buy Lamkin's. If you want to save yourself a hundo and use it towards beer after your next round because you just broke 80, buy these. Saplize!

Morgan: Insanely easy to install. TONS of grip. I am shocked. The quality of these grips are excellent. Don't bother with the 1 star reviews, I have no clue how anyone could give this grip kit anything less than 5 stars. Regriped 13 clubs in 1.5 hrs. and it was the first time I've ever regriped my own clubs. The solvent kit comes with everything you need. Couldn't be happier. I am an avid golfer, have been playing for 30+ years. Trust me, don't hesitate, buy these now.

UPDATE: still one of the best purchases I've made from Amazon. These grips are phenomenal. Played 24 rounds with them, hit the range a a dozen times, no wear, no tear. Still feel great. Have now regripped 4 sets and everyone is a happy golfer.

One tip, when sliding on the grips use a good amount of solvent on the club, they will slide on easily. Once that is complete, stretch the grip down the club shaft so the whole grip is on. Once you feel it has gone all the way on the shaft, shift the bottom of the grip, slide it back up, so that it matches the tape. That way your grips remain thicker, if you stretch them too far past the tape it can make them feel a tad thin.
