Illumine: First of all, I don’t even really like curry or Indian food all that much. This Japanese curry though? Amazing. It’s pretty good when prepared according to the directions on the package, but being a busy working individual, I stumbled upon a way to make it amazing.
I have a small 3 qt crockpot. I’ll place my frozen meat in the bottom, add my root vegetables, add the 2 cups of water, and then put the curry cubes on top. I then close the lid and leave it on low while I’m at work. I then come home, put rice in the rice cooker, chop up some zucchini and squash, toss the zucchini and squash into the crockpot, give it a good stir, and put it on high while I go shower. By the time I get out, my rice is ready and I have flavorful fall apart tender meat that has soaked up the flavor of the curry cubes, and zucchini and squash that still have a good amount of texture while the root vegetables are perfectly cooked. If you’re not sure what to make and you’re a busy person, I seriously recommend making this stuff in a crockpot. And oh yeah, I have this on subscribe and save now.

James Stewart: This is THE standard and common curry-roux used in Japan, so after moving back to the US I was starting to miss proper Japanese curry. You can put anything you want in curry but I prefer root vegetables: potatoes, carrots and onions, with mushroom, chicken and maybe some tomatoes or spinach. In the US broccoli is cheap so you could use that too. A little extra garlic also helps. Great stuff and very satisfying.

Andrea Sánchez: Si les gusta el sabor del curry tradicional estilo japones con un toque "umami", este curry cumple con esas necesidades, al igual que todos los demás de esta marca. Varía el sabor un poco según el grado de picante que menciona la etiqueta, aunque muy minimamente a mi parecer. Es bastante rico para quienes quieran intentar hacer un curry que sepa igual o muy semejante a los de Japón. Super recomendado.
