Royal Purple 01600 12-Ounce Purple Ice Radiator Coolant Additive for Optimal Engine Performance

Mr. Perry: I have an older vehicle which has had extensive cooling system repairs done (approx 90 percent of the system has been rebuilt including hoses). I have a 170 degree thermostat installed.

Prior to using this product my van would reach close to 200 degrees, per the obd reader and was unstable. I live in Florida.

At this time, after 3 hours of driving I am only reaching 181-186F. The overflow tank is expanding more than it did prior to installing. Temps are stable. My heater is producing 134F heat. I am about 6 weeks in with this product in my coolant.

I highly recommend this product. It's worth the money.

Steve: Put in an ATV for when the rad gets muddy. Than ran a temperature gauge when the rad was clean and dirty. There was no difference before or after adding this product. Not thinking it is worth the money.

JT: Well known quality product, but poorly packaged for shipping. Bottle wrapped with plastic wrap, but nothing in box to cushion bottle and about an ounce of product had leaked inside plastic wrap, bottle was wet.

Murray Brown: I added this to my 1998 Yamaha 1200 VMAX. It has reduced the operating temp of the motorcycle as advertised. I feel that it has aided in fuel consumption reduction as the bike does run cooler.

KMac: I still like to drive one of my older cars regularly. Over the years it appears that there's some build-up that just will not flush out of the engine. This only affects the car when the Houston temperatures get into the mid to upper nineties. The car does not overheat but it runs hotter than I would like.

I tried the purple ice, Which coincidentally I installed during a multi day period Of nearly 100 deg. temperature days. To my amazement my engine temperatures were lower (even when compared to the gauge reading during the lower 90 deg. temperature days).

There are people out there who believe that your car engine thermostat will just adjust to compensate for any improvement the product may cause thus rendering purple ice ineffective. However think about this logically, the reason a person would add this is because during periods where your thermostat is completely open and is unable to provide any more cooling your temperature may still increase.... and this product is able to help disperse that increased heat in some way by its chemical formulation... again, Your thermostat is fully open and your engine temperatures continue to climb non the less....adding this can...
