Bunnie: Although the fabric is tough enough to prevent bites and scratches, even the smallest size was much to large to be useful

Emma S.: We got them for our macaw to handle him easier when we take him outside. The moment we opened the packaging, it was a sucker punch to the nose! It smelt so bad we had to keep them outside for several days before getting close. Beware!

HairyMidget: I got this because copperheads and fall leaves are hard to keep apart. So as I am putting my hands in the leaves, hopefully they'll keep me safe. Now, I haven't had a chance to try it out with a real copperhead yet, and I hope I never do. But, the gloves are thick and long. Its just that you feel so clumsy wearing them that you have no dexterity to do actual work. So I keep them on the side, and only wear them when I am putting my hands right into the leaves, don't expect to operate a leaf blower with these on.
Anyway, they do feel like they are well built, and I guess if you are going to be safe from bites, there is no way around the dexterity issue. I'll let you know if I find out.

Denise: These were great for my roses. I'm doing a whole bunch of cleaning and pruning back this year and it's the worst when you have to stick your arm in up to the elbow to clear out leaves when you're just wearing regular garden gloves. These worked awesome and the stickers didn't catch in them all over like they do with shirts and jackets. My rose with the crazy long thorns didn't stand a chance either. I was able to take a stem in my fist and not even feel them.
They're not for any kind of fine work. I used them with a pair of two handed clippers and I'd probably have a really hard time trying to use the one handed ones. They also slip a little since they are one size fits all and a little big for me so I'm thinking I'll look into using a pair of elastic bands to hold them in place. Next I plan to tackle my blackberries...
Additional Edit: On sizing: though these are way too loose for me they are perfectly fine for my husband's man hands. They work like a champ on blackberries too. I can just grab a vine and yank with no issues.

dmac: Excellent craftsmanship but fingers are too big and not flexible enough to really get a good grip on the scruffs of the neck and back of feral cats to pick up to get in the cage/carrier to TNR. They are great to help you from getting scratched or bitten.
