MeWizeMajik: I got this to specifically cut down aluminum MTB handle bars (22mm). It should also fit the 1 1/8” fork tube. It works really good. Go slow, don’t crank it down at first. Take your time measuring and lining it up. Make sure the rollers sit flush against the bars. Snug it up with every other pass. It took me five minutes to cut down two bars (four ends total). I did it while the bars were mounted in the stem. No need to vise the bars. The compact size also fits nice in my MTB tool kit. If you prefer the hacksaw and guide, go for it, but this does the same exact job for less time, effort, and $$$.
