Wendy GlazierWendy Glazier: This is my 4th puppy. I used “the blue potty training Mats” for all of them. This was my first time using the tray and it made things much easier and cleaner. No puppy fun of ripping up the potty mat. It’s an investment but makes life much easier. Good quality and easy to clean.

kimberly bradford: I don’t use it with the grid my dogs hated and wouldn’t use tell I removed the grid. But it holds doggie pads down better then any other pee pad holder I have owned I just double them up just in case one of my dogs has an anxiety situation when the family is gone. I have had problems in the past with other pee pad holders that won’t hold pad at all when the chihuahuas dig to China and shred the pad up everywhere. They do occasionally still manage to pull the top pad up in one or two corners that’s why I put another one underneath and they have never managed to pull the first layer up. It is 1 piece so won’t leak through the bottom. Of course if they miss it is what it is. I don’t see this working for anything but very small breeds. I use Clorox wipes for quick daily cleanup if they get it on the edge. I clean it in the tub maybe once a week unless their is an incident 🤣. I recommend this but maybe try it without the grids it is a separate piece so easy to remove and you will probably have better luck.

Monica: Love these for my small dogs. They don't get their paws wet. I just put some absorbant
paper towerls in between so no need to buy the expensive pee pads really. The only downside
is that you must clean the grill if the doggies poo and step on it, so goes in between....but we have
large sink in our washing area so just use a brush and some soap, put it back together and it's great. No more doggies ripping up pee pads from a pee pad holder, the grill does a great job.

Gabby R.: We just adopted a pup a few months back and he’s great when it comes to using the pad. I work from home, so when I’m working, he’s in his playpen with his bowls, crate, bed, pad and a bunch of toys. He’s a very rambunctious little guy, and began developing a bit of a behavioral issue. (He’s bark his head off for me to come while I was working.) This escalated into him tearing his pad apart — literally into shreds. And with his pad shredded, he’d relieve himself absolutely everywhere in the playpen.

I did a bit of searching for the right pee pad holder/cover, and we went with this one. And we definitely LOVE IT. I waited a few weeks before leaving a review just to make sure I can describe the nitty gritty details, but there’s not much to complain about. We haven’t had a shredded pad since getting this. Never had a leak and our little guys hasn’t even been able to even remotely open up the cover. From the chewing, scratching, digging and pawing, it’s held up very well and I’d recommend it to anyone who just got a puppy and/or anyone who uses doggie pee-pads.

I also noticed one of the major issues people have with this is fecal matter getting...

SpidermansM0m: We have a 15 week old Pom. Ideally we’d like him to be able to do his business outside when we take him out but when we’re not home, we want him to know to use this tray. He’s learning well! I got the tray because he ripped up the puppy pads. He has taken to the tray surprisingly well. There was no confusion, he must have known a familiar scent and goes to the tray for pee and poo. It’s great. I’m quite happy with this. The only downside is cleaning poo off the little grates. He’s a puppy. Bms are softer. So it’s a bit of a mess sometimes. We just take the tray to the tub and clean the whole thing daily. It pops apart so we can clean all the parts pretty easily. So far so good!

adamulvaeus: This product is just great!! No wet paws, no wasting money on multiple reusable pee pads. Our puppy learned how to use it from the first time after being trained earlier on washable pee pads for a week. I used a trick of one of the reviewers here and put on top of pee pad 2 squares made from nylon cable ties. It creates some space between pee pad and the grate and my cavalier has his paws perfectly dry each time. And yes, everything fits inside and the tray clicks nicely. I use Amazon basic pee pads or Walmart ones 22x22 (1 per day and i fold them a little bit from one side) and wash it in a bath tub in the evening with soap rinsing throughly. I have 2 of these trays. The tray helped us extremely from accidents on our rugs (he cannot mistaken them with pee pads). It may produce some very light odour during a day so we got electric air fragrance from Walmart and put it on the lowest set. Amazing! I have a super advise for everyone who tries to teach its dog to make his business on indoor potty: only positive reinforcement.....it means high quality treats for a job well done....Walmart/Safeway roasted chickens for 10 bucks. We buy these chickens once week for a dinner and leftovers...

Amazon Customer: Great in crate for puppies / sick dogs. Cut a square potty pad to fit, secured it under the mesh and placed the assembled tray on floor of crate. It absorbs any liquid from accidents and keeps the dog dry (not necessarily clean, particularly with more solid messes). Easy to disassemble and hose clean. Mesh effectively protects the pad from becoming a chew toy. The pups find it comfortable lo lay on, which is a bonus.

This has gone through 2 puppies and has never been dismantled by them. It is showing some signs of use on the edges where they have scratched at it, but still in great shape.

My crate is 24”x30”. Just enough room width-wise. Length-wise, leaves enough of crate floor uncovered to place bowl and chew toys.

Constance: We were using a different type of pad holder with elevated sides but it didn't have a grate. So our puppy was constantly grabbing and tearing up her pads in spite of our best efforts to train her not to. I could be standing 3 ft away and she would grab it and run faster than I could blink.

The powdered granules in the pads are toxic, if swallowed, so it was constant vigilance to keep her safe.

She was tracking urine on the floor and then we were getting it on our shoes. I was washing her paws daily because they would stink. A lot of reviews complained it didn't work for keeping paws dry. Thankfully, it works for our 9 1/2 lb Yorkiepoo but may not work well for larger dogs. Take into account that the larger the dog, the higher volume of urine output and also depends on the quality and absorbency of the pads you use.

This tray solved all three problems. FINALLY - relief from frustration, peace of mind and a lot less work mopping floors and picking up torn pads = more time for other things!

We were concerned she would have a hard time adjusting to the feel of the grate on her paws. We placed the tray in the same spot as the old one, put a pad in it with...
