Pierce: It is thick, sturdy, and covered in soft suede-like material. I love that it's huge & can be folded over (if desired) for some extra options for catching rays. I would definitely buy this again!

Missy CarpenterMissy Carpenter: I bought two of these just before my Dad arrived for a 2-week stay. I wanted a couple of sturdy pool floats, and these had pretty good reviews and were priced well. They have been great! I like the holes to allow you to get some water on your skin to cool, without retaining water around your body like other solid floats. The suede does seem cooler, and it is generally very comfortable. I am hopeful to keep these in good shape & use for awhile! (Tip: I used my new shop vac in blowing mode to fill the float with air easily! I will try to decompress it for storage using the shop vac also.)

Angela J.: I love this float. I was skeptical because it’s hard to find a float where you don’t sink. I’m not a small 105 girl so I was surprised that I didn’t sink. This float supported my weight and is super comfy. I have fallen asleep twice in the last week while floating. It’s soft because it’s covered in velvet like fabric, and the holes in the design allow for water to come up from underneath allowing you to keep cool. The detachable pillow is a great addition to prop up your head while laying on your back.
So now the real test comes, will it support my husband? He’s 250 lbs, and it worked for him too. So now we argue who gets to use it. My two teenage kids tried it yesterday and they both liked it as well. So back to Amazon to order some more.
I ordered the bright blue color and it’s super vibrant and looks cheery and fresh.
Some people complained about the velvet getting dirty. I haven’t had a problem. I stand the float up on its side to dry after using it and mine still looks great.

thistastesliketurtles: This float is exactly what I’ve been looking for.. If you’re large or tall, don’t hesitate buying this because it accommodates both comfortably. The suede is really nice because it allows you to position easier on it than regular float material. I use it for tanning and the holes allow enough water on my skin to keep me cool. I haven’t had any issue with the pillow Velcro not sticking or lining up. I also haven’t experienced any molding yet.. I also let my float fully dry daily so that may help avoid molding. I also have no idea if this would survive long around kids because I have none but, the quality seems pretty sturdy to me.

However, I highly suggest not wasting the extra bucks for the color you want because this float fades so easily. I take good care of floats so they last the whole season or more, and this one is no exception. I take my floats in and out of the house as needed so the float had maybe been outside a total of 9 hours by day three. On day four, as I was taking the float outside I noticed significant fading.
