Catherine stemm: Awsome coloring book. Has a black backing on every page. The paper used is great for any kind of medium you care to use. But then again, this kind of quality is what you get from this company every time.

KalenaKalena: The back of the coloring pages are black and although it is meant to keep colors from bleeding through, I decided to put it to the test! I used a brand new red Sharpie Fine Point Marker and colored in a small square on one of the candy canes. It DID BLEED THROUGH the page onto the black and and there was a minuscule of a red mark on the mitten of the following page however, you wouldn't be able to notice it unless you were looking for it. When I use pens to color I always put a piece of white cardstock between the pages to catch any potential bleed though. Each picture has a full black border around them and a soft charcoal gray shadow on half of the border which enhances the pictures. The quality of paper used is good but on the thin side which may be the reason why the back side is black. Over all, the book is of nice quality and the black on the back of the pages is a wise choice as opposed to having just another picture or leaving it white. I would have given it 5 stars had the pages been a bit thicker and the black on the back of the page actually kept the ink from bleeding through to the next page. travelnjan: I have enjoyed this book, I use the glitter gel pens. Some of the pages are very detailed so your imagination can go wild while other pages are not as fussy. I can enjoy these for hours while watching t.v., it helps pass the time & you really don't have to think too much while creating something of beauty. Yes, & they are very relaxing, so sit back & listen to some music or the t.v. & relax which gives me something to do with my hands besides eating. Would recommend this book to family & friends who want to do something & not have to worry about following instructions, let your mind go & enjoy a pretty past time...

Stef53Stef53: Having all kinds of fun coloring the images in this book. I rated it a 4 simply because the paper is more absorbent that I'd like for a coloring book. It does take gel pens wonderfully though and they are my fav to use. I've only started this book and I'm looking forward to doing more in it. The images are clean and clear, lots of details in most. It also has some simple images with fewer details for those days where details aren't as fun. Just really enjoying this book and can't wait till I can get the other Christmas books.
