Dale Simmons: I bought this product to make a particular bit of Indian (-ish) cuisine. It worked out much more “authentic” using this product in my opinion. Now I have enough left over for other recipes in the cookbook.

AshleyL: I use this when I'm cooking. It's great and I'm glad I bought it. My only criticism is the lid doesn't close very well. At least the one I got doesn't. So, I'd probably recommend transferring it into a different container.

arcobaleno: Great addition to a lot of Indian recipes. Added it to last night’s batch of Aloo Matar.

Teresa L.: Opened jar and looks and smells good. Googled why mango powder might clump. Articles write mango has a lot of moisture so it can clump at times. But that doesn't mean it's bad powder. Mine had a few, a very few, small amount of clump balls. 6 or so. Now I know why, so it's fine. As said it looks and smells good. Learning how to cook Indian food on Youtube, so buying all herbs required in whole herb form to grind myself, and their recommended powdered herbs. Haven't used in Indian dish yet. Fast ship to Canada.

Cathy Ross: I am very much enjoying the addition of powdered mango, it is great in my baked goods like muffins and also with vegetables. It is greatly appreciated that there are no additives, just great mango powder :)

Akua: Because of the pandemic and my local Indian Restaurant does not deliver, I can't get my favorite dish -- two samosas. I love their samosas and have liked samosas ever since first trying Indian food in NY's Greenwich Village
in the past century. I found an exquisite and detailed recipe online and gave it a go. I had to buy a lot of spices I never heard of before. This was one of them. The exquisite fragrance of this spice makes me want to wear it.
By scent alone I understood its role in the array of spices. This was so good, that it was hard not to eat the filling before stuffing and forming the pockets. I'm trying to think of other ways to use it -- other dishes to include it in, for that complex mango note. O and now I like my samosas better than the ones from the restaurant.

Robert: This product, not necessarily this brand, was recommended to me by an East Asian Physician that practices medicine in the U.S. He proposed use of this product, in combination with lime or lemon, as a way of making non-salted food more palatable to those of us that love salt. His argument was that excessive salt is detrimental to our health, which we have all heard but routinely ignore, until there are consequences that force change. I chose to try his suggestion and have found his advice good enough to follow on a permanent basis, though I personally do not have health problems related to using salt very liberally.
My rating of 4 stars has nothing to do with the quality of this product. It is good enough to merit a 5 star rating. My rating is based on the fact that this is a very good salt substitute, but salt is salt, if you know what I mean.

Deborah: I used this in a chickpea spinach dish I made for my East Indian friend…she did not believe I made the dish and noticed right away that I used Amchur and wanted to know how I knew about it…it does add a unique flavour to your dish, she says it replaces the salt in your dish…I notice each time I open the container it gets lumpier…I will put some in a smaller container…the lumps are easy to break up again…will buy again if I ever need too…I have lots now
