Happy Middle Age Dude: Supper easy to use, very sturdy and compact kit. The must have if you want to clean or get the stuck pellet out from your PCP/airgun. I used this tool to take out few pellet that stuck inside my Gamo PCP Urban .22 cal. Strongly recommended. I am very happy with this purchase.

readsalot: Full disclosure: Seller contacted me after my original review and graciously offered a free replacement kit as compensation for my unsatisfactory experience. I accepted and volunteered to update my review if the new kit was better quality. Although it's fair to ask, I did not interpret the offer as a bribe for a positive review, nor was I going to give one unless the product performed much better than my previous experience. I paid special attention to the threaded rods, since that is what failed on the original purchase.
Pros: I assembled all five rod segments together, applied a reasonable lateral force on each segment to test the joint connections, and had no problems. So far, so good. Attached the .177 brush, applied a little Hoppe's and gave my BSA Supersport barrel a good cleaning. Big improvement over the last time. Good selection of brushes and starter set of cleaning pads are included with the kit.
Cons: The male and female rod threads do not connect tightly, and can loosen if you don't remember to always twist the handle in a clockwise (tightening) direction while cleaning. I realize there are trade-offs for machine tolerances and ease of...

FlatPicker: The case that this comes in is a lot smaller than you'd expect. But there are 5 cleaning rod sections in the set. You only need 2 of those to reach down the barrel of a pistol. The handle is nice. Actually, everything in the kit is pretty nice. I used it once already and I like it.
This set comes with a long-lasting supply of cleaning patches. The cleaning patches are something like nylon fabric rectangles in a stack. There are lots of them in the stack. It only takes one half of a patch to clean a pistol. In other words, you take one half of one of the nylon fabric (or what looks like nylon fabric) cloth patches, fold that over and pull it through the cleaning tool with the slot. This makes a perfect fit in the barrel.
This kit cleans either .177 cal. or .22 cal. guns. There is an adapter in the kit that you put on to clean a .22 cal. gun. There are several cleaning tools (including the one with the slot mentioned above). All the machining and finish on the parts is perfect and everything looks like it's made out of gold. I think it's worth the price and worth buying.
