DP: My husband is a coffee snob and loves this french press. We are wintering away from home, and he was missing his Bodum french press, we tried the cheapo glass/plastic one, no bueno. I decided to get him another one for our winter place and saw this on Amazon and liked the reviews and ordered it. 1/3 of the price of Bodum, but very similar design. He said it is just as good as the more expensive french press, keeps coffee hot, pours well, handle is secure...all-in-all almost identical to the more expensive Bodum and works just as well. Happy we found this, would definitely recommend.

PepperC`PepperC`: I have been needing a new French Press for some time now ... I wanted a good quality stainless steel model ... I had found a few to to put in my comparison cart (including some good name brands) when I just happened across this one during a search ... It was actually the least expensive - but seemed to have some excellent reviews ... I liked the style of the Press ... as well as all stainless w/insulation not just in the body - but the lid as well (I asked before purchase) ... with the most reasonable price & the other factors all seeming to be positive, I thought would be worth taking a chance ... & Yes! I am very glad I did ... Color me Impressed ... For such a reasonable price I was not expecting this level of quality ... The exterior is stylish & polished (believe I would prefer brushed stainless for daily use as an option in future models) ... The pour spout is seamless where attached to pot & pours very smoothly ... The plunger fits snugly but glides easily up & down inside pot & I had no grounds in my coffee (Cafe Du Monde for test runs) ... There is a small arrow on the lid indicating the pour opening (so you can turn lid to retain heat in between...

bt_cat: I really like this French press coffee maker! It is nearly perfect and so much better than a glass French press. Obviously, it is metal, so it's nearly indestructible. It keeps your coffee hotter for longer than a glass French press. It costs the same as (and usually less than) just a replacement glass carafe for the Bodum 1 Liter/34-Ounce French press ($19.99, as of 21 May 2021).
I did say "nearly" perfect. It's shortcomings: The lid assembly feels lightweight; almost like it's made of plastic (it is not). Also, the lid leaves a gap (about ⅛") when it is in the closed position, so some heat has to be able to escape. The center hole in the screen (in the plunger assembly) is not reinforced like the screen from a Bodum French press; it is merely cut/punched out, so it may not last forever. Quiseen does not currently offer replacement screens (or any parts, in general), and it is not interchangeable with Bodum screens.
Still, I am thrilled with this purchase! I was sick and tired of buying replacement glass carafes every few years when mine inevitably broke. No more! Besides the mentioned shortcomings, I only wish Quiseen also made a larger 1½ liter/51 ounce...
