They work great inside your shoes keeping the odors under control. I keep them in my gym and walking shoes. I have another set of large and smalls for around the house and in the fridge. Andrea: This product works great for shoes (especially boots) that become damp. They are not intended to put into your already smelly shoes to work miracles. You must use them religiously to prevent the moisture from breeding bacteria in the shoe (that's what smells). I put them all the way down, flat, into the toe. My husband actually gave our pair away to his friend because he recommended them that much. So, I just ordered the 2 pack as a replacement.

Little Miss Researcher: Placed one of these in each of the cars and they've worked great to clean lingering smells.
One of my cars particularly had a smell from having gotten wet and no matter what I tried the smell would always come back. I used to hate driving it because I was sure I stank getting out on the other end. Now I can get in my car and not smell anything. My car is mine again to enjoy driving. To be clear I only placed one of the two pack into the vehicle and it cleaned the smell right up. I was concerned I'd need the larger one they also sell or atleast both of these smaller ones but one of them has done wonders.

I think these are great and will purchase again when I need anything else to be smelling fresh.

drom99: This Purggo odor eliminators for shoes works well if you place them in the sun avery month or so. If you have really smelly feet, you should also soak your feet either in warm water and Epsom salt or white vinegar. When storing them for longer periods, I place either a dryer sheet of Bounce or baby powder inside the shoes.

Kelsey: Awesome! The only reason I didn't give this product 5 stars is because I haven't had it for very long so I cannot say whether or not it works for the whole year or not. However, I recently moved, and my new home had a weird musty smell from being closed up for awhile. I bought these to help purify the air a bit, hung them near the entryway and left them for about 2 days while I took care of my old place. When I got back to the house there was definitely a noticeable difference in the room that I put these. It was no longer musty smelling. I plan to buy more and put them in some of the other rooms as well.

Michelle P.: I bought these primarily to put into my 75+ year old heirloom dresser passed down from my Grandma. Over that last few years, the drawers began to smell like old wood. I tried using scented drawer liners, cleaning the wood with Orange Glo, spraying the wood with perfume, Febreze, etc. Nothing took the smell out longer than a few days, which meant anything I put in the dresser also smelled like old, musty wood. I came across these during a "Today's Deal" and thought, why not? All I can say is WOW! After just two days, it took the musty smell out of the drawers and my clothes.

I also have a suitcase that no matter what I spray in it or how long I air it out, always makes my clothes smell like the fabric lining even after a few hours. And it's not a cheap suitcase. Even putting clothes in a bag and wrapping them tightly wouldn't work. I decided to put one in my suitcase for a few days before a recent trip to see if it helped. Even after three days of being in the suitcase unbagged, my clothes smelled like they did when I washed them! I just left the bamboo charcoal bag inside the entire time. What a difference!

Trying to mask odors don't work...I never really thought of...
