Nehnah: So I've only used this on my golden retriever 2 days now and I have to say I already see a difference. I use the sound feature and it gets her attention. She's trying to figure out where the sound is coming from (doesn't realize it's her). This takes the focus away from the current undesirable behavior. The sound is a mild beep not intrusive at all. On occasion the behavior is not deterred by the sound at which point I have used the vibration feature on 7 out of 100. I felt it myself and it's just that, a vibration. I put it at a low setting to start out. This vibration has definitely caught her attention and stops the behavior immediately. At this point, if I say the words "off" "no biting" "quiet" or "no grass" she looks at me and immediately stops. I use the sound as a warning twice, if she doesn't stop after 2 warnings I switch to vibrate. I've gone up to 15 out of 100 on vibrate and that's it.
Have not used the shock feature (I felt it myself on 1 out of 100 and it simply felt less that a battery shock, much less) and hope never to have to use it.
I'm very pleased with it so far, time will tell. As for the quality: it is a light plastic but durable...

theanalizte: This set was great to start brushing my dogs' teeth. I have two smaller dogs (one chihuahua and a terrier mix) and the smaller end of the toothbrush works very well for both of them. The finger brush fits me well, but I think people with larger hands might have some issues working with the finger brush.
The toothbrush itself is made with a long plastic handle and some very strong bristles. They are much stiffer than I expected, and almost immediately made my dogs' gums bleed. To be honest, this was as expected due to the deterioration of their dental health, as they are both shelter dog rescues, but I think the quality of the brush definitely contributed to the discomfort they both experienced.
This being said, the tooth brush certainly did it's job! Their teeth are clean, and they really didn't mind the taste of the toothpaste at all!
To me, the toothpaste smells like a combination of mint, chicken, and peanut butter. The dogs did like the flavor, and kept licking their lips for a while after I finished brushing their teeth!

Newburg, PA: I don't think it has much taste. I have placed some of the toothpaste on my finger wanting my puppy to lick it so that I can get him to enjoy the taste then introduce the toothbrush but he turns his head. The toothbrush and finger brush are nice and the small end of the toothbrush is small and perfect for a small dog.

I wanted to get my puppy use to the teeth brushing routine but it has not been successful. They say you don't have to worry about brushing their teeth until the adult teeth are in.

James: For the price, you can't beat this combo. Includes enough toothpaste to last a couple months, a basic toothbrush with a small end and a large end, and a finger brush. We use all three brush tip options, depending on how rough we need to be to clean our dog's teeth, so we've found none of the included items to be a "filler." As for the taste, our 3 year old pitbull doesn't mind it - he has a basic palette with mostly one flavor of dog food and occasional snacks, no human food, so he's not too picky. Some others complain that their dog doesn't like the taste, but maybe they are used to a wider range of flavors?

I would buy this again when we run out, for the value alone.

A. Lowe: A lot of people are grossed out by their dogs licking them, I haven't been overly concerned about that till I noticed the yellow staining on my pups teeth. My dog is only 2 years old and I bought this after noticing some tartar around his gum line.
He loves the flavor of the tooth paste. I don't think the finger brush is effective AT ALL but the regular 2-sided brush is nice. He's only ever his teeth brushed at the groomers (or at least thats what I asked and paid for) I thought this was going to be a difficult process and at first it was. I had never brushed his teeth before on my own so this was new to us both. The only thing that saved the process was the flavored tooth paste. It took about 5 times for us to build up to a solid 30seconds of brushing (we're still working on it) I have already noticed a difference.

side note: in addition to using this, we bought a small elk bone with expose marrow for him to chew on, CET small dog chews for oral hygiene and I've added a liquid tartar remover to his doggy fountain.
