AM: I was hesitant to buy this tool since there are so many negative reviews. However, for my windows it worked flawlessly. This is a must have tool. For example, i was trying my pliers but it was very difficult to hold and it increased the risk of damaging shoes and balance. However, once i received this tensioner, the job became ridiculously fast and accurate.

ASNIL: Some of my windows were hazy so I decided to take them down and have the glass replaced. With this tool it's easy for me to re-tension the spring.

Scott: The tool is solid and works. However, the slot in the tool was too narrow for my application. I assume my window hardware is nothing unusual. It was not way off, but enough that it would not work without modification. I had to use my moto tool to enlarge the slot slightly. The crossbar on the spring bar would not fit into the slot on the tool until I enlarged it.
