Aubrey A.: Well written. Data driven. Unbiased. Excellent.

Darcy K Creviston: I read this book at the recommendation of Ben Shapiro when he interviewed Ali on one of his shows. Ali's sincere intensity intrigued me, along with her back story of having been raised in Islam but leaving the religion as an adult when she fled from Somalia.

On a surface level, what I appreciated right off was Ali's conversational tone, which was much more accessible than books I have read by Shapiro and or Michael Knowles.

I read the book because my understanding of Islamic culture is superficial at best. I know people who believe that Islamic culture poses no threat to Western ideals and to claim so is racist. I also know people who believe that there is an Islamic effort to take over all Western culture and subject Christians to sharia law. In reading Ali's book I was looking to gain a greater understanding of the true relationship between Islam and Western culture, especially as it relates to women. While I won't claim to be an expert after reading one book, I appreciate the perspective Ali offers.

The complexity of Ali's topic makes it difficult to summarize, but she combines immigration and crime statistics and trends with a broad view of Islamic...

B. Parsley: Ayaan Hirsi Ali gives a view of what has happened in Europe since the surge of Muslim Immigrants hit these countries in 2014 to present day. She details the increase of women who have been harassed and sexually molested. Women are afraid to go out at night alone. They no longer feel free to dress as they once did. The culture of European citizens is in conflict with the culture of new immigrants from Muslim countries.

It is greatly disturbing that many politicians will not recognize the threat toward women that these new immigrants pose. They don’t want to admit that there is a problem with these new arrivals. They seem more afraid of being called xenophobic than they are of failing to uphold the law. Hirsi Ali proves that immigration has made European women less safe with statistics from the various municipalities.

Hirsi Ali, an immigrant herself, gives many ways that governments around Europe could work to solve this problem. New immigrants should be given instruction of the different culture they will be entering. They must be acclimated to the new way of thinking about women. Those who show an unwillingness to accept the European culture should be sent back to...

Bobby Smith: This is a top book that addresses the issues the political parties dodge, namely that we have imported thousands of people into Europe who do not share our values when it comes to women, LGBT issues etc. The consequences, as she so clearly illustrates, are felt on our streets, where name calling is just but one of many dangers women now face. Rape and sexual assault being at the other end of the spectrum. The majority of this book concerns issues in Germany, Sweden, Austria, rather than in England, although the child grooming scandal is covered in one chapter. The lack of urgency given to integrating so many people is obviously the key to solving the problem, as it is impossible to stop the movement of humans around the globe. However, when the numbers are so vast, mainly down to Angela Merkel's moment of compassionate madness in 2015, when a million people poured into Europe, from Syria, Pakistan etc, integration is almost impossible. Hirsi Ali quotes from court cases where migrants query why they have been charged with sexual offences, such as groping or rape, as such crimes are not considered a crime from their country of origin. Of course, this might be a complete lie, but it...

Jude: Desperately sad read, the careless or non-existent assessment of the attitudes of men coming into Europe is risking women's safety and setting back women's rights that we fought hard for. Ayaan has stated what many women in Europe have experienced but are too scared to say. The danger is real and I am a victim myself - multiple times. Police do nothing and governments cover it up.

Thank you Ayaan.

C. A. blaiklock: Anyone who dares to say that Muslim immigration might be a problem is smeared, called far-right and an Islamophobe.
Sadly women are being groomed, raped, and harassed every day in the new Europe. Police issue warnings for women not to go out at night in multiple countries. Thousands of women in Britain were groomed by predominantly Muslim Pakistani men.

Ayaan writes about this and the middle-class feminists who are more concerned about glass ceilings than what is going on at Rome railway station or in the back streets of Calais or Bradford.

I gave it 4/5 stars rather than 5/5 because I did not particularly like the style. Every chapter is divided into points - like a PowerPoint presentation rather than having a good narrative and showing her issues with the judiciary for example by in-depth examples or country by country.

Overall however you should buy the book to support the author and her work.

Brian McPherson: Through statistical analysis and interviews with clergy members, social workers, writers, politicians, police men, immigrants, and crime victims, Ayaan Hirisi Ali seeks to show that European woman are facing a crisis of sexual assault at the hands of some migrants from Islamic majority countries and that Europe’s criminal, immigration, social, and political systems have not responded adequately.

It is truly heartbreaking to read about young boys and girls, mothers, and grandmothers being raped or sexually assaulted—and infuriating to read that the perpetrators were handed light sentences, or in some cases, no prison time at all, because they “come from a different culture”. Offenders are almost never deported.

Ms. Ali’s book is at its most powerful when she focuses on well researched instances of rise in sexual assault cases, the rising atmosphere of fear in cities, and the failures of the immigration and criminal justice system to curtail violent offenders with no interest in conforming to western norms. Particularly timely is her argument that, even if women’s rights are not legally curtailed, the rights of women are effectively eroded if women do not...
