Jayvees: It was a small cage and we thought we buy something big but it was actually smaller than I thought. But at least it can be useful to your one or more small birds to carry around and bringing along to the veterinarian for check-up its health at the very least.

Elaine Macmillan: I thought it would have been bigger than what it was. It is very stiff to open it. Otherwise it is the same as the other one that my bird had.

EnvyEnvy: This cage is way to small for happy, healthy pets but it’s perfect for protecting my carnivorous plants from my cats while letting the bugs in. The bottom is a built in watering tray and I have it set up right next to my sink for easy access to gnats. I’m sure my Pinguiculas (Butterworts) will thrive here

Theresa: This travel cage is ideal for both parakeets and cockatiels, but roomy enough to contain a single bird. The door closes very securely and tight. The bird is securely contained and cannot open the snug fitting door. I am very happy with this travel cage, it was a great purchase!!!

B: I pretty much only use this to get my budgie to the vet, but it works just fine. It’s very small, but he can just fit on the provided perch without having to duck down.

P.A.: Great buy - super sturdy and easy to assemble. You can easily accommodate a small/medium sized pet and perhaps even a little food or water cup. I was able to put two of my parakeets (Budgies) into the carrier for a trip to the vet and they were able to move around without being on top of each other. I believe this is the most this carrier could hold comfortably. I wasn't able to fit any food or water cups in there with the birds because it would be too cramped. Please consider how long your trip will be - anything over 2 hours is too long and you should definitely consider a larger carrier.

Karen Manuel: This is a good way to transport our budgie when necessary. We were taking him in a box, which he hated, because his cage is too heavy. He was quite happy in this small cage. I couldn't assemble it but my husband managed it with some difficulty. The perch is slightly too short so we had to wire it on so it wouldn't fall off when the bird was on it. If we need to thoroughly clean it, we would have to take it apart which could be problematic because we would have to assemble it again. I think it would be great for small creatures to travel in.

Quixotic: The cage is big enough for our parakeet and his small toys. We used it to transfer him home when we got him and also to the vet. It's easy enough to clean and we placed a small towel on the bottom to keep him from sliding around. The biggest issue is the actual wire cage. The locking mechanism on the sides to hold the cage secured to the base is flimsy and will not consistently lock in place. The base has fallen off when holding the entire cage by the handle. I would NOT trust holding this cage by the handle and always hold it at the base. The perch that comes with the cage easily comes off as well so we just use our own. For the simple use of transporting our bird, this cage will do but removed the two stars for poor cage locking and the perch.

fmtransmitter: 3 stars because the picture is deceiving. I have a female sun conure and I could barely get her in it. This is for finches and smaller only. She was ok after awhile but couldn't move and was pooping and her tail was getting covered in it. Theu should have described this for tiny birds only. Since I won't use it much I decided to keep it since it is just used for a short walk to the community pool and when she poops I am able to use the rinse off shower amd she gets a nice bath with it. No she doesn't go into the chlorinated pool but she rests on my stomach while I float around and seemed to enjoy herself. Just wiah it was a bit bigger. You get what you pay for and any size up from here was way too expensive. Great to take tiny birds for a walk with you and has a small dish for water only. Birds need 2 bowls. Without water they cannot eat.

Hoola: It's much sturdier than I thought, no worries about escapes. Nice size for one or two tiny birds.
