slewcrew: Solid wood with a nice finish. However, the thread on the metal hook screws in only about 1/2 inch. So for heavier clothing such as a 3-piece suit. Make sure the hook is screwed in tightly on the wood or it will strip and pop out.

Rob: Just what my closet needed. Be gone chaos! I should have ordered more. Didn't realize how many pants I had until I started trying to get them all on a standard hangar. Why did I get these vs. others? I travel a lot, have a clothes bar across the back of my SUV. With other styles of pants hangars, my pants would often be on the floor or seat when I arrived. Sometimes soiled, often wrinkled, and always taking time. Thankfully, these hangars never drop clothes. Remains to be seen how they get along in a garment bag. The slight angle might make another straighter hanger a better choice for that application.
