I got it for a travel/daycare pillow for my 3 year old. It suits that purpose perfectly because it stores in his daycare cubby really well.
I don't think this would be an IDEAL everyday nighttime pillow, it's a tad small for that, but again, the dimensions are true, so use discretion.
Super easy to clean, memory foam is sort of diveted in the center so it breathes better and has a tad more give.

Joni (livebythemoon7): Update over 2 years later: Since my initial review we have bought 2 more of these. We have tried other pillows for my youngest but he still prefers this pillow. He had sensory disorder so has to have specific products that are safe to him. Additional pillows were bought due to damage from illness as the pillow is not washable. Only co plaint is the stretch cases that come on them are obviously thin and cheap and do not last at all.
I bought this for my son at 15 months old. He laying on pillows and blankets to cuddle when he was sleepy. After doing some research I decided to buy him this pillow. When we first opened we unrolled and let sit to expand. I did not notice any off-putting smells. It feels soft to touch and he absolutely loves his pillow. He's an active one even in his sleep but even so he moves his pillow with him in his sleep. He's often sleeping on his tummy with his head on it and one arm around it cuddling it. I am completely satisfied with this purchase and would definitely recommend it for those who are looking for a pillow for their toddler.

Nathan E.: I read a few reviews of this pillow before purchasing, and was a bit leery after reading how it is too flimsy and thin. Well, when I received mine, it didn't give me a good impression out of the box. It is shipped in a very compressed state, and after unraveling it, it looks a bit deflated... even after a couple of hours. I figured it was best to wait and see... well, the next morning it looked more like what I expected. It's a nicely constructed pillow and pillowcase, very soft to the touch. It's the perfect size for my preschooler to use for daily naps at his preschool.
I thought I'd share my own experience so others weren't immediately put-off by the state the pillow ships in. After about 12 hours, it'll take its normal shape and size like in the photos!
