Taryn: I know nothing about ukuleles or instruments at all (I’m a beginner) but I will say that this uke came very fast! The estimated delivery said March 30th, it got here today on the 22nd. Very nice! And the color of it is so pretty! I love it! I tuned it with the help of an online video and it sounds good to me :)

William A. Stevenson, III: I bought this for my 3-year-old grand son and he loves it! It is well constructed so young hands making mistakes are not critical. It stays in tune well and for the price, is quite good for a first instrument. Kids love the bright colors! I bought the pink version for his older sister at the same age, two years ago and their nightly concerts are a joy when I visit! Grandpa can play along with his ukes, as well. They make up songs on the spot so Grace VanderWahl, you can start a trio with these guys in a few years with tons of original songs!

Ethan 😹: This is a wonderful ukulele bundle ! Comes with a carry case, strap, picks, and even 2 months of free online ukulele lessons . It’s mahogany and comes in some lovely colors , along with the higher end Aguilera nylon gut strings that are the preferred strings for ukuleles. It tunes easily and stays tuned. My son is a beginner, and his music teacher said that it was one of the best sounding quality ukulele’s for the price. I did loads of research before deciding upon this brand, and I was really pleased that I chose it . I Would definitely recommend this ukulele!

aRt qUeen: This is a beautifully crafted instrument and the sound quality is amazing, much better than you would expect from something in this price range. The construction is very solid and the wood is strong and beautiful. Some have complained about the strings in other ratings -- I have found them to be a good quality and after one or two tunngs, they are holding their pitch very well.

If you are counting on the free lessons (as I was), here is how it works. After your instrument arrives, wait for at least 24 hours to get an email from the vendor. Then you will have to respond and verify that yes, you do want the lessons. You will get an email the next day which will direct you to a site to sign up. At that site you will be asked for your email address and which instrument you wish to learn -- but then you will be asked for your credit card information. This is for "identification purposes only" and they say they will not bill you. This is before you even know what your potential charges are or how this system works. For those who do not have a very secure connection to the internet, I would advise caution here.

But even if you choose not to take advantage of the video...

Mulan FanMulan Fan: I'm a sixteen year-old guy who normally plays guitar, but I wanted to try out ukulele too as kind of an add-on instrument. I got this as a Christmas gift from my parents last month. It's my first uke, so I wanted one on the cheaper side...but the instrument itself doesn't sound cheap at all!

STRINGS: As other reviewers stated, the nylon strings do not come already tuned (tip: from bottom to top it's tuned GCEA). The strings wouldn't stay in tune for the first couple of days (which is expected because they need time to stretch and be "broken in"), but after re-tuning a couple times- they now stay almost perfectly in tune for long periods of time. Also an interesting thing is: I'm a lefty, but I had a friend take all the strings off and simply reattach them the opposite way and it works for left handed players! (warning: chords are different for right-handed players and left-handed players, so find left-handed ukulele chords online)

UKULELE: The uke itself looks great and has no errors in its finish or in its build as far as I can see, and it sounds clean and crisp. It's also amazingly light in weight and easy to carry and hold. Other reviewers normally purchase the...

krip89: This is excellent quality for the price. I have never played the ukulele before but I play several instruments and decided to give this a go. This is perfect for a beginner and it feels and plays like it will last a while. It falls out of tune the first few days of tuning but will hold after a few days of regularly tuning them- this is normal for stringed instruments. If you are expecting a professional instrument this may not meet your expectations but if you are trying to figure out if you want to play ukulele before investing a lot of money this is perfect. And the quality is still very good compared to plastic-y crappy instruments. This is very light weight and sounds good and loud enough to entertain your buddies at a party. I have no complaints about the sound. However I must say I expected the color to be more purple- mine is so dark you would think it brown until really really holding it up to the light. But it is a lovely little instrument regardless. I highly recommend this for beginner or just casual instrumentalist. There are so many free videos out there to help you learn as well. Destiny Stermer: Got this ukelele because I decided to learn how to play. I've always wanted a lute, but a ukelele is much more affordable and a great way to start, plus I thought it might be a good lead up to learn how to play the guitar I've had since I was 12! Haha.

First off, I got the purple one, and I must say the color was absolutely beautiful. The paint finish was really nice, though there's a black smudge that was on it when it arrived, and almost looks like it was in the paint. It doesn't particularly bother me, and the nice shiny finish keeps this minor flaw from tripping me up.

The strings are okay, and the sound has unwanted reverb, but I've read this can be changed by changing the strings to aquila instead of the nylon ones that come on the instrument. I purchased a pack when I purchased the instrument but cant' confirm this for certain as I did not change the strings.

One comment I read a lot of was that the instrument comes out of tune very fast. This is true. However, if you give the strings a few days to set this problem stops. I've also read, again, that changing the strings can solve this faster. Essentially, though, the strings need to build up...
