IPA4me: I bought the coat, pant, and shirt hangers from this brand. All are decently made and are fragrant unfinished cedar as advertised. Pant hangers have plastic covers over the metal clips to protect pants. Two out of twenty “regular” hangers had wood knots that were oozing sap! All others in three packages were clean, though. Verify each hanger before use so you don’t accidentally ruin your clothes. BUT, overall very happy with purchase.

I really like these hangers. The cedar smell is wonderful. I bought these to hang one of my suit jackets on and these are real sturdy.
I've never had cedar hangers before. It makes allot of sense to make the hanger out of cedar to protect your garment from moths.

examiner: In September, 2023, I decided to order red-cedar coat hangers. Then I made an analysis of 4-star & 5-star reviews on Amazon, and I narrowed my preferences down to the Amber Home and Topia brands. Both companies looked good in my analysis, so I just went ahead and ordered Amber Home hangers.
Here's a breakdown on the two (2) brands of cedar coat-hangers, based on my side-by-side review:
SMELL
Amber Home:
I am sensitive to serious toxins, and as I soon as I opened the Amber Home box, the fumes were overwhelming. Those hangers really stinked! . . . When I raised a hanger to my nose--Yuk, I couldn't wait to seal the box back up! The fumes even lasted in the air for a while. Naturally, I applied for a refund.--Did Amber Home hangers always have this problem?--Maybe, it's new.
In disgust, I considered abandoning the entire project. But I had seen a moth in the master closet. . .so that didn't make any sense. I went ahead and ordered Topia hangers.
Topia
I just opened the Topia shipping box. What a relief! They have a great cedar smell.
