J. R. M.: I shaved off my beard and had quite a bit of No. 63 Beard Oil. I decided one day to try it on my face before shaving and was quite surprised at how well it performed in that regard! Smells nice and provides a fragrant slippery surface for the skin prior to using shaving soap and brush. Works better than the Proraso pre-shave products I had been using!

Redstopgreengo: Upon opening the bottle and giving it a "smell test" well it didn't smell like the No.63 soap, it was close but more bergamot. So I sealed the bottle up and then shook it up for while, then gave it another "smell test" it was nearly spot on with the soap. The sent is rather light, far from overwhelming, which i appreciate greatly. It gives my beard a nice luster, the downside is that if I get a bit of it on my skin, which is inevitable.... well my skin will pill after a day or so, sort of like a mild sunburn. I still use it, sparingly, despite my mild reaction too it.
