John Arthur Schneiberg: I am using these 1/2" blades to cut through 7/8" white oak while rebuilding a classic boat. I am using them on a PROTECH bandsaw that is 20 years old and spec'ed only for a 3/8" blade. Yet they do very well and I'm getting more life out of the blades than I expected.
