Bill in CT: This is an excellent workshop stool that provides the kind of flexibility that I wanted for working at my bench or other mounted tool. My wife has "borrowed" it to work on her crafting at the kitchen island. I stole it back to assemble and modify some telescopes on my pool table (covered, of course!) ... As I said, it is versatile. Importantly for me, it is sturdy and steady, bearing my 250 pound/6 ft 3 inch frame without issue.

Bill H.: When I went looking for a new shop stool, I was balking at the prices for stools that could handle my 250 lbs. Even when I was waiting for this to be delivered I was having buyers remorse for paying so much. Well so much for that. This stool is built well, is very comfortable and the cylinder is without a doubt heavy duty. It rolls and adjusts so easily! This will easily outlive me. Then my son can have it. I am very glad I bought it.

Brad Rawls: Almost perfect garage stool. It's very heavy duty, rolls extremely well, and is built to withstand heavy use. Only problem beside the price (gulp) is the foam seat. It is as hard as a rock, no give in the padding what's so ever. I'm 240 lbs and I don't even dent it. I read reviews on how hard the foam was and dismissed them as snowflakes, but I have to agree. I'll be modifying mine to make it more comfortable.

J. Fox: I'm ambivalent about the chair. It works as advertised, but I do have a few personal issues with it. Others may not mind.
I find the seat too big. I bought this to use at the workbench in my garage and I find it difficult it to sit on it. I have a short mechanics store stool that is fine to but it has a smaller seat. I'm not sure if it's the height or seat size, but it's uncomfortable unless I can get completely on it. And then my feet don't touch the floor and it scoots around. It may also be I just need to get used to it.
It was very easy to assemble and came with all parts. I've put enough of these types together I didn't need the instructions and used my own tools.
I've not had any issues with it not staying at the correct height as other reviewers have it needed customer service.
