P. Cody: We bought a more basic $120 cart to haul our kiddo and gear to and from the ski mountain and it started to break down in a week and we returned it for this one which has been great so far. A couple features I'd call out that make it better:
-These wheels have bearings in them. Roll much smoother. Cheaper one did not. I suspect they'll last longer too.
-The wider wheels navigate rough terrain (snow, slush, mud) much better.
-This cart's front wheels are connected to the handle (something we really wanted and is hard to find). The cheaper one had wheels on free spinning casters. The latter is somewhat more maneuverable but the freely rotating wheels had a habit of twirling around and getting stuck and dragged sideways in slushy snow. It was impossible to pull and casters quickly started to bend out of shape. By contrast, this cart has been solid in rough terrain.

Bob: I spent a lot of time trying to compare and contrast a cart to buy heading into the summer season. I quickly figured out that build quality and sturdiness were important after seeing cheaper Radio Flyer wagons and other carts with skinnier wheels.
If you’re looking to tote around a decent amount of gear or a couple of small children then I recommend this beach wagon. The brake is something I wasn’t sure about but now know is definitely needed when on hard surfaces where you want the cart to stay in place, also when it’s folded up.
The only small change I would make would be to make the fishing rod pouches optional on this model. I don’t use them but it’s not a bother, could’ve just been another small storage pocket instead. Overall I would definitely recommend this beach wagon 👍
