POLDR 12X25 Compact Binoculars for Adults - Small Pocket Size

Praedo: Nice little compact binoculars. Easy to use, and work pretty well. Optics are very slightly foggy, and the focus controls are a bit loose, but it's a great deal for 20 bucks.

redwormredworm: Small, lightweight. Accurate to the 8x21 as advertised. (I have a similar pair 10x25 that I compared.) Some reviews noted a blue tint to the view, but these are clear and bright and true to actual reality. Some reviews also received a box with '12x25' but binoculars with 8x21, but my box/binoculars match. A small microfiber cloth was also included (not shown in my photos). I do wish they made a 6x zoom version... This 8x zoom is quite powerful, and thus the field-of-view is quite narrow. Overall, very happy. Joel O'Reilly: Works perfectly well for a cheap set of binoculars. You get what you pay for. They work, but aren't the best on the market.

Bert Snert: I'm reviewing the 8x21 version of these. Note that this particular pair is produced by the millions in China and stamped with various silly made-up words like "Poldr" or whatever random Latin letters were smushed together to create a "brand name" that will be extinct in another year or two. They're all the same and you'll be able to recognize them by their shape.

I'm a binocular aficionado, I have several pairs. I wanted to get a pair that I could take to the third-world on vacation and not worry if they were lost, stolen or broken. These are decent ones for that purpose.

They are, in fact, 8x magnification, compared with my other (good) 8x binoculars, so that's nice. A lot of the cheapie no-name binocs overstate their magnification. Anything over 10x in this price range probably isn't that powerful. At this price-range, don't go higher than 8x because you won't be able to hold them steady and they will be dark and difficult to see through.

Fit and finish are pretty bad. The lenses are reasonably clear, however. Clarity falls away around the edges of the glass, as should be expected at this price-point. Collimation is barely ok. ...

StarCatcherStarCatcher: There is literally nothing I dislike about these binoculars; they are worth more than what I paid for! Prior to buying these, I had a more spendy pair of Barska opera glasses. When one of the objective lenses fell off and got lost, I scrambled to replace them as quickly as I could. I really didn't want to spend as much money as I had on the Barska brand, and I was very unsure about buying a pair of binoculars from a brand I didn't know and for a price lower than $15. All those fears were cast aside when the Poldr 8 X 21's came in the mail. They are truly small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, but don't be fooled by the size: they pack a good punch! I use my Poldr's for bird watching, but found that they are powerful enough for me to see distances much further away. The Poldr's come with their own carrying case that can be attached to your belt, a lens cleaning cloth, and clear, easy to understand directions on how to focus the binoculars on the subjects being viewed. The eyecups are rubber and can be folded down so that you can use these binoculars without having to remove your prescription eye wear. One of the factors asked to be rated for this product...
