bucnutbucnut: Augie’s ALP was dangerously high, over 2200 in early May. I’m not crazy about pharmaceuticals period but even more when it comes to veterinary pharmaceuticals. And Augie is sensitive to meds (we’ve had a few bad experiences in the past). So I did some research and started him on the milk thistle.
Had another blood draw and got the results yesterday… down to 1100 in 2 months! No changes, just added the milk thistle twice a day and it’s already cut his ALP in half! Very VERY happy and will continue until we get it all the way down into the normal range! Worked for us, I recommend giving it a try.

Ashley Hakes: My dog is on a lot of meds and had been getting me up in the middle of the night for at least a year. One of my friends mentioned the time he was getting me up is when the liver detoxes, so I purchased this. Within days I was sleeping soundly and it has persisted now for a month. Great product.

Jill Gillespie: Been using Milk Thistle on my dog with liver issues for almost 15 years. I've used many pet wellbeing products over the years and still do currently. Great products, easy to use, dogs are good with it mixed into their food or put directly into their mouths. Love all of the products.

Kathy B.: Can’t say it’s helping as we’re using it as a precaution, but it certainly isn’t hurting and Milk Thistle was recommended by my Vet with another dog who had liver issues.

Tivvy: This was recommended to me by my vet as my dog's liver wasn't functioning as it should be. Since using this his liver levels have improved. A great product and it lasts a long time so it's cost effective.

James Costello: I was told our dog had high enzymes levels after taking him to our local vet , after a bit of research found milk thistle helps cats and dogs with liver toxins, so we had a choice to either try a natural approach or look at having him put to sleep , I was not going to allow such a strong decision to put him to sleep. So second opinion from another vet , and they seem to think it’s an infection so antibiotics helped with the infection, the second vet did agree his enzyme level was high and they could put him on a table but will be for life I spoke with the vet about the research on milk thistle and she agreed there is good results been heard about it , so after two weeks of antibiotics for infection and two weeks of milk thistle, his results are in the normal range . This product works for us and have and will recommend it to anyone to try it.

Vanilla Gift: Seems to be helping. My vet said my chihuahua had elevated liver enzymes and wanted him to take a prescription pill that looked like it was meant for a horse. Needless to say this was just not happening. No matter what I tried, me trying to give him this pill was probably going to kill him before the failing liver did. At wits end, I looked for a liquid supplement containing milk thistle, which is what the prescription pills were formulated from. I found this and started giving it to him after checking with the vet to confirm it was ok. She just said it was probably better than nothing, and gave the ok on trying it. My dog actually doesn't mind taking this at all. I'm not sure if it's the bacon flavor or because it makes him feel better. It stops most of his symptoms he developed before being diagnosed with elevated liver enzymes. This included incessant paw licking, malaise, hair loss, etc.. But, the most impressive result has been his liver enzymes indeed went down. The vet recommended to keep him in these for the rest of his life.
