I've had this for a while now. It's dependable and durable despite all we put it through. The fact that it comes apart in the middle is a highlight since I sometimes tuck the handle into the couch cushions to leave the worm hanging, and the cats occasionally want to drag it around the house. So whenever the stick is trapped, they can pull it apart at the middle and trot off. Still, it takes a lot of force to do that, and it never comes apart while swinging it around. It does make it feel safer, too, since it'll pop apart before putting a dangerous pressure on their claw it they get stuck. So I'm very happy with the design.

It can bend quite a bit, but it's as durable as a fishing rod in that regard. We've had no issues with cracks in the plastic or anything like that. I think the rod itself might outlast the string at the rate it's going, and I'm absolutely fine with that.

I've bought a bag of worm replacements since they die easily, but I've found that tying a little knot at the end of the worm tail helps keep it from shedding too...

Amazon Customer: These furry worm attachments are our cats FAVORITE toy. With our without the wand, she will play fetch, carry around in her mouth and hide them under doors. We had an issue with the pole, and the company replaced. Awesome customer service and product.

Amazon Customer: Our cat had a problem. The only toy he loved was a real full size fishing rod (obviously with hooks and etc. removed). He wanted to play 24/7, but only with the rod, and would condescendingly stare at you if you tried any other toy. He would cry for the rod day and night, but it was honestly cumbersome and annoying, plus even after you played with him until he was panting and overheated, if you put the rod away, he was all offended. I saw this and since it was about 10 bucks I figured I'd give it a shot, since it was vaguely fishing rod-like. Well, he loves it! And it's a lot easier to handle than a full size fishing rod. Especially when the cat grabs the "worm" and drags me to another room, underneath several chairs. He does still prefer the fishing rod, when my brother is around to handle it, but it's been days and when I get him nice and exhausted with this, he doesn't beg for the rod and seems to have a great time, so I figure I've done good by him. He rewards me by sniffing between my toes in the night.

Sherre Logan: My cats love this toy. They chase it and jump at it. When I am being lazy I can sit in my chair and play with them or they'll chase it around the house. Great purchase.

Anonymous: This is my kitten's favourite toy by far. He loves chasing the worm around. It moves in a realistic way. I love that the stick is long so I can play from one spot, and that it can be stored easily as it splits in two. The toy is strong - my kitten pretty much hangs off the end and it hasn't come apart at all. Great toy!

Complexity: 🙀 WARNING: Before I start, I must warn you about this toy. IT IS ADDICTIVE! Not only do the cats love it, but we humans love it, too! My daughter asked us to care for her cats while she was on vacation, so of course, I had to get them new toys. I started, oh so innocently, with this one simple toy. Then when the cats made it clear that the wormy was their favorite, I had to get extra wormy refills. Now my other daughter is visiting with her cats... so you know what that meant... I absolutely HAD to buy this toy again! Then I found this same toy with the wand and five wormies. I just ordered it, too! 😹

Pros:
❤️ Absolute favorite toy for 4 different cats (2 daughters with 2 cats each – the cats range from 4 months to 15 years old)
❤️ Wand is great length and bends a little which gives it a more natural play action than the wands made out of wood
❤️ I also love the cushion on the end of the wand – it's comfortable to hold, and I can put it between the sofa cushions without tearing the leather
❤️ Another positive about the wand – it does not come apart while playing with it, but it's still easy to twist apart when you want to put it...
