Justin: Seems to work well. My orchid continues to do very well in its new pot with this soils added. It seems like this soil needs just a bit more water to stay moist, but then again I’m using more of it in a new bigger pot so that could be it. I would recommend this for your orchid potting needs 👍

Georgia Shopper: I have a collection of phalaenopsis orchids that came to me at various times in less than stellar condition. All of them are happily growing in this media! When I repotted them, I first soaked them in filtered water for 30 minutes to soften the roots. Then I removed every bit of old media from the roots and cut off any dead ones. I then carefully put the roots into the new pot and gently poured the bark around the roots. I recently repotted a few that I planted in this media two years ago, and none of the bark stuck to the roots. None of the bark had rotted. I soak my orchids once a week, and these bark chips seem to hold just enough moisture and dry out well each week. Oh yes, and several of my orchids have rebloomed after repotting.
