Lauren McIndoe: The collar initially looked smart on my puppy for the first 10 days and we received a few compliments, however, less than 2 weeks after wearing the collar, the reflective strip has been scratched and ripped. Such a shame.

artist_mu: UPDATED: July 2019 - I just bought this collar for the second time. Loved the first one. It lasted about two years before the reflective strip started getting worn and it began to fray a little bit. So, I just bought a new one in a different color. I like the padded aspect and my puppy seems to like it as well. Fits well and can be adjusted for his different length hair in summer/winter. Happy customer. Thank you.

Original Review: I love it and my dog loves it. :) Sturdy and well-made. Happy with it and the color is beautiful. Easy on and off. Two places for tags and my service dog's license tags and name tags. I like the peace, love and paws reflective label too. I bought a matching leash and highly recommend both items.

Tim: the collar is sturdy, but very hard to adjust properly. I'm working through obedience training with my dog, including walking on a leash and the double loop construction causes it to loosen when I pull on it. What i mean by this is that the male end of the clasp goes through the ring and overlaps the collar, and its the female end of the clasp that where you adjust. it doesn't slide easily to adjust, then while its on the dog and I pull, the top layer slides off the bottom, expanding it and then its able to spin all around and slip right off my dogs head. just seems overly complicated design. Some good points include separate license clip and overall constructed of quality materials. will

Justine: Love this collar!! I used the Small for my lab mix puppy and now use the Medium/Large since she grew out of the Small. My pup absolutely loves being outside, rolling in the dirt, mud, and water. This collar has held up so well and is super easy to wash. I just throw it in the washing machine with whatever load I happen to be doing (I've used both hot and warm water) and it always comes out clean and good as new! I love that it is reflective - our pup is black and impossible to see at night. Seriously a great choice.

B. MimitzraiemB. Mimitzraiem: This collar is very cute and very sturdy. If you have a dog that likes to chew on their own collars, though, this will be a problem. (No, I don't know how my dog chews on a collar that she's wearing. She just does.) You may need an exorcist.

Love this collar - the color and the reflective material are awesome. It's soft enough that my pound puppy doesn't mind wearing it all day ... she does slip it off when her 8 year old comes home, though.
I measured and gave her 2 inches for comfort. That 2 extra inches is the difference between a dog on the leash and a dog at home while the kid wanders around the neighborhood "walking" the dog leash and collar while reading a book. Size down.

Pawtitas is also a very communicative company that willingly sent a smaller collar to keep my pound puppy safe. I appreciate both the product and the company.

Outdoor EnthusiastOutdoor Enthusiast: First of all, unlike every other review here, I ACTUALLY PAID FOR THE COLLAR MYSELF! Yes, the color is gorgeous, the reflective tape is definitely reflective, and the liner is soft. But here's where the problems begin. Not even half of the color has the reflective tape on it! Yet, as seen in my pictures, they put the reflective tape on the inside of that half!?! Seriously poor design in that the teal part of the collar merely needed to be flipped so the entire thing was reflective! So when your pup is out at night, cars can only see them from one side! How is that safe?!!
Now for the rest of the poor design. I think they had a good idea but it wasn't executed properly. If the metal slider, as seen in my picture with the buckle, isn't snug up against the buckle, the size loosens up. But with it being there, it makes that portion of the collar SUPER thick! And it's hard too! So my poor old guy can't get comfortable with laying down when he has this huge bulge poking him in the neck! Not to mention the fact that with the unsecured double layers, it's a huge hazard for things to get caught up on! Maybe if you had an indoor dog that does nothing all day but sleep...
