JamieIsTalken2U: It worked good for a few days but my pup eventually absolutely destroyed it. She started off my shredding the pee mat any time we left her alone with it. Then eventually she chewed off all the clips that held the frame together.

I really liked that it held the pad in place and made clean up pretty easy. Unfortunately once she figured out she could still get to the pad and shred it…well, it was all over from there. If you have a non-chewer you’ll will probably like this.

JeanetteJeanette: When I adopted my dog, he was already ten years old, had spent half his life in a hoarding situation and half in a shelter, and had never been trained or housebroken. I was going broke on puppy pads and cleaning up after him constantly. He had a habit of going half-on and half-off the pads, leading to the floor and the bottom of the pad being soaked in pee.
A friend said I needed a pee pad holder and I thought- what good will that do? And I kept on papering the floor with pads and still having to clean up pee every day.
I finally got this thing as a part of a change in crate setup. He peed in his crate no matter what I did and, while I know conventional dog training wisdom says to get them a smaller, barer crate, that wasn't working for him and I wasn't okay with letting him sit in his pee with no room to escape it. So we went the other way and I got this so that it would stay in place while he walked around on it.
It works like a charm. Between this and other housebreaking efforts, he ONLY uses the pad in the holder and otherwise goes outside. I have no idea why, but he does. It takes standard-size pads, the kind available in any store, so it's easy to find replacement...

Suzy P.: We have a grass patch that was too expensive to even mention and took too much effort to clean and still sheds like crazy. This keeps disposable pee pads in place and prevent our 3 lb chihuahua from tearing them into shreds. He prefers to do his business on this one because it is roomier, gives him space do his pacing and turning and sniffing, and the fresh change of pad encourages him to go. I am getting rid of the grass pad and possibly purchasing another one of this plastic tray to double the real estate for him lol I hate trays with grids as they catch onto urine and causes tracing. Perfectly fine that this tray does not have a grid. The 4-way clips is also foolproof to secure the pad and for quick, easy replacement of pads. I highly, highly recommend!!

Angela T. Frady: This is exactly what I needed for my chihuahua mix puppy. She was chewing the edges of the pee pads and even when they were stuck to the floor with the adhesive strips in the corners she would try to drag them around. This completely prevents and has resolved those issues. It's cleaner as well and prevents it from getting on the floor if she urinates too close to the edge. The pee pad holder keeps that from happening. This is one item I will definitely recommend to pet parents.

Sal: Bought these to stop my paper trained female dog from chewing the pads when we're not home. Keeps them locked in place nicely. Only issue is my male dog who lifts his leg, sometimes goes off the edge and I have to clean the sides off constantly. So I would say these work best with females.
