Outdoor Portable Parachute Nylon Fabric Travel Hammock for Camping and Relaxation

D. Schwemin: Great hammoc for a fantastic price! Although it wasn't able to use it for very long, as I quickly discovered that hammocks make me motion sick.... I was able to use it long enough to find that it's got a good construction, however the material is very thin an light weight. So I'm sure it will work fine as long as you don't let it come into contact with anything sharp! So just be careful before you climb into the hammock that you don't have anything sharp or pointy on your person because it could very well tear the the hammock and render it useless. Also, because the material is so thin, it's not going to provide any insulation from the cold during fall and winter months, so I would not recommend this at all during cold weather camping. This is strictly a summer hammock, and I would absolutely recommend a mosquito bed net be purchased with this hammock if you are considering buying it! The pouch the hammock comes in is actually part of the hammock itself, and functions as a pocket on the side of the hammock to keep small valuables in when in use, such as keys, cell phone, jewelry, flashlight/headlamp, etc.

Brett: I bought this hammock as a gift for my friend's birthday. The one I got was the single size, orange and gray colored. Shipping was fast and came as promised in the attached drawstring bag that doubles as a handy pouch for your stuff while lounging! There weren't instructions for knotting the ropes, but its very self explanatory and the ropes are really forgiving and seem to stay up well as long as you make some tight knots. The ropes will stretch out, so it takes a couple tries to get it right where your butt isn't scrubbing the ground in the hammock. Regardless, it does hang a little lower than most hammocks once you crawl inside, but that depends on how high you're hanging it and how far apart the trees are. The fabric is thin, but strong and comfortable, and you can wrap up inside like a cocoon or however you ant really, its a nice versatile hammock! Personally, I don't see the need for a more expensive one that's the same thing, maybe just a bit thicker for the material, and the ropes it comes with are just fine as long as you know how to tie a simple knot. Would recommend and will probably buy another for myself soon!

HeatherHeather: This is by far my FAVORITE camping accessory!! I was worried that it wouldn't be great quality, but boy was I wrong!! It was wonderful. It held my husband great who is around 240lbs. My husband also has pretty broad shoulders and it was still wide enough to cup him while he slept (see picture). The colors are vibrant, it's lightweight, and easy to hang. I will, however, be purchasing the Eno suspension system, because the ropes tended to stretch a little over time, but in my experience that happens with most ropes. Bottom line, I highly recommend it, it is great quality and incredibly comfortable! This is one purchase I guarantee you won't regret!!

Sundance: Love this thing. At first I was worried that like some products, it would be impossible to roll up and get back into the bag but this one is easy. The storage bag is attached to the hammock itself and kind of rolls into itself when you put it away. Great so you never lose the bag. I have a set of tree straps I use which make putting it up a breeze, but I haven't tried the included ropes. Material is nice as are the colors (I got the orange/grey one). Very light and packs into a small space, with just enough extra room in the bag for my tree straps.

I bought it to read in and you kind of have to lay at an angle with your feet slightly overhanging a side though, otherwise you get swallowed up in it and it gets kind of hard to hold your book. Haven't slept in it yet but it's really comfy.

Nino Floro: I am extremely happy with this purchase. I bought this on amazon and received it a few days later. I was thinking that for the cost, you get what you pay for and if it lasted through my next camping trip, I'd be satisfied. I'm happy to say that this is a quality product for an excellent price.

It is very compact and lightweight but still very strong and durable. I'm 5'7", 275 pounds and it held me fine without fear. I even had my 40 pound daughter join me without any strain on the hammock. It comes with the parachute nylon hammock which is pre-strung and knotted to two sturdy carabiners. It also comes with two approximately 24" ropes that allow you to attach the carabiners to ropes/straps around a tree (not included). Everything fits nicely into an attached sack made from the same material.

Bottom line: The parachue nylon held strong to repeated in-and-outs of a 275 pound man, the ropes held, the sack is convenient and everything is pretty light. Definitely worth the purchase!
