Peter: I have this set on my tool rack behind the lathe very useful as a go, no go guage for single point threads. Al's great for quickly identifying random bolts and nuts without the trouble of carrying a caliper and thread pitch gauge.alittle pricy but useful

Rednissan95Rednissan95: Don't guess anymore,.this is a good set. The only thing is having all of them together on a wire. I fixed the problem real quick. Get a magnetic bar from harbor freight and put them on it. What a time saver and you can keep them all handy.

TH_Paul: Been wanting one of these for some time just for my home garage work. Chose this for the quality, good price and made in USA. That was last year. This week I went to check a nut and found that instead of 1/4-20 and 1/4-28 checkers I had two 1/4-28. No big deal I guess because it didn't fit the 28 thread one so I knew it was a 20-thread nut. But I reached out to the manufacturer anyway via email on a Thursday afternoon. Within 15 minutes I had emails from their sales team and president/CEO promising they'd send out a new one. Was stunned to find the new one on my doorstep Friday morning! It helps that I'm one state away, but wow ... what stellar service after the sale. Replacement unit is perfect and I can gift the "defect" to a family member. No reason to order anything else.

Ryan A Gaudet: This is one of those tools that you need occasionally and really make it worth getting one. I used to have to go to the local hardware shop and by a few different sizes not knowing exactly what I wanted but now I can size it up before heading to the store.
Again not something you will use everyday but as long as you're not a scatterbrain and forget where you put your tools and can find it when you need it, it's worth it.

B Dog: The only complaint I have is that the sizing is limited. It would be nice if it had about two or three larger sizes.

Duane Jacques: Good quality thread checker set for a good price. I prefer this setup of paired bolt-hole / post elements on a stringer. I hang the whole thing on a hook beside the tool chest so students have easy access. Ideal for a shop in which the users (students) are not always that conscientious. A popular size like 1/4-20 doesn't get easily lost/misplaced as it's part of the big set. However, being an individual element on a wire stringer allows you the freedom to check a bolt-hole on an arbitrary part/assembly, unlike the thread checker sets that are laid out on a large board (typically affixed to the wall).

KM: This is a Good idea, and one I was planning to make for myself, by buying a single screw & bolt of every size, then adhering them to a board, so I could test at will, like in the hardware stores. That idea would work, but if you have a hole, & can't pick it up to screw it into the threads on your board, you're stuck.
This is the same idea, but easier to take to the hole, rather than taking the whole piece to the board.
Pros:
* The Price is high (but the cheapest option I found for a similar item).
* This saves me time - Lots of time! Instead of screwing endless unknown screws into unknown holes, I'm usually ID-ing the correct size hole within seconds. Then I can use the opposite end to find the right screw after just a few tries.
* At the very least, I know if it's metric or SAE, so if I can't find a screw in my pile, I can buy the correct size immediately, and confidently.
Cons:
* The sizes are marked on each one, but barely. It's a white stamp, not embossed, so it will wear away soon, I'm sure.
* These are incomplete, ie, not every size is on here, but the most common ones are. I haven't had an issue yet, but we'll see over time. If I...

Kevin N.: These are well made. I use them for work. Very handy to have. They are both SAE and metric.
