Jean-Pierre: More of a deterrent for small pets. A big dog could push through.
Looks nice, made of wire that bends back easily enough.

rmmcantin: Way too flimsy for my needs

Aeris101: Easy to install, doesn’t look too tacky in your yard. I use it to keep the dogs out of my garden that live above me.

KK: This was an inexpensive solution to keep our new mail carrier from stomping through my newly-planted shrubs on the side yard. It's tall enough and sturdy enough to make a visual border, to say "don't walk through here!". So far, it works and she uses the sidewalk now. It looks attractive- my neighbors on the other side of the fence really like it. It isn't really sturdy enough to stop a dog who wants to get through it badly enough, but it confuses our feral cat I am taking care of outdoors, who won't jump over it or try to squeeze through it. It's funny watching him walk all the way around it!

Raye: These things are so easy! They are pretty too! I was afraid it would stand out but oddly they did not. I like most people bought them to keep away my dog who is part beagle and part basset hound. Her name is Lilly. She feels complied to dig up anything I plant I guess to make sure it is safe! I used them around my garden. She easily jumped over. !#*#@!. I got the 36 inch ones there after and if you read my review on those whenever I get around to doing them and she even jumped over them. (but she was stuck inside and could not jump out). But i found for an azalea or a gardenia etc she would leave them alone. You see you can separate them and make the barrier you need by simply disconnecting what is too long, I use a small pair of pliers. Real easy. Just disconnect and then press them down where you want them to connect. Like I said it looks good. I thought it would be an eyesore but it is not. And when the plants get big enough she wont bother them! ( I hope hahahaha!) Only reason I give them 4 stars rather than 5 is I wish they were thicker so they would last long long time. But if they were it would much harder to separate and re join so perhaps I am being unfair. And who is to...

Elisabeth Bingham: These are actually more durable than I expected. I wasn't able to complete installing them because the ground is so hard (I wish the stakes were pointier), but with all the pushing I did, they bent rather than broke welds, and I was able to bend them back with no evident harm done. They weren't able to stand up to a horse or deer or whatever it was that got caught in them, but still performed even better than expected and I will be getting another package to replace the destroyed/missing section. Oh, and I was replacing some cutesy plastic fencing around a pet cemetery and like that this is much taller and so a better visual deterrent to just stepping over it and all over the graves.

Emily K Jonak: The spacing between the wire is bigger than I expected. We are using this in our backyard to try and keep our cats from crawling under the fence. The spacing between the two horizontal bars is great, and the cats can't get through that, but the round area above they can just go right through. It means that we have to position these guys very carefully to make sure our kitties stay at home.

Staking them into the ground tested our marriage. The backyard is filled with roots from the previous home owner's garden and very large rocks under the soil, so most of the time when you push the stake down it hits a rock or root, and sometimes you push and it'll sink down, and other times the stake just bends in half.

Jen: I bought two of these over a few months to protect young plants from neighbor kids. I live in a rental complex and decided this year to plant some flowers, but the kids in the neighborhood tend to walk wherever they want, occasionally dropping trash along the way. I couldn't find a wire fence locally that was taller than 18 inches and that didn't look like chicken wire. In fact, I was so desperate that I checked the awful Wal-Mart, and the 18 inch wire garden fence they had was extremely overpriced (or priced wrong on the shelf).

This fence has taken some damage over these past couple months, including a kid who crashed his bike into it, but since it is wire I was able to bend it back into shape. It is a little hard to push into the ground, depending on your soil, as there really isn't anything to grip that doesn't bend. The second one I bought gave me more trouble because the white coating was bunching up above the soil, so I would have prefered the gound stake parts had no coating. The fence does its job though, even if it isn't the prettiest thing in the world. None of my plants have been walked on (unfortunately, one of my young garden phlox plants was snapped off and...
