Carrie Ryman: I have purchased these a few times now because I was really looking for sulfate free mangoes. About half the time these dried mangoes are either over-dehydrated or on the shelf too long, having mostly very dark brown shriveled, short and thin fruit strips. and the flavor does not even resemble mango remotely. It’s just a sweet, dried fruit flavor. Not bad, but very dry and just sweet. You could be eating dried apple or dried pair instead. No mango flavor at all. That has happened twice now. However, the third time I bought them, the dried fruit was like night and day compared to the other bags. The fruit in this third bag has a brilliant orange color, with thick, succulent mango strips, which still have the actual flavor of mango. They are fresh and tasty. So it is really a crapshoot as to what you’re going to get when you buy this brand. I think this company needs to work on their quality control. I actually started purchasing another brand for a while that has a better quality, however, they have sulfates in them. That’s why I decided to try this brand again and got lucky on the third batch.
