Dry as leather or wet as a soaked sponge... the in-betweens are perfect. Everything else is meant for the trash.

M: Mango is one of my favorite fruits. I have tried various dried mango brands, but this is my favorite. It is not overly dry or too sweet. It's the right texture and sweetness level. There is a good amount of dried mangoes that come in a bag; however, the bag does not last long in my house. It's a house favorite!

Sugarquill: So about 70-80% of the time, I can reach into one of these bags and pull out anywhere from a ripe to slightly underripe piece of pure tangy-sweet mango.

The remainder of the time is the main drawback of this particular brand of dried mango (I love all forms of dried mangoes), because 20-30% of the time you're going to bite into a piece that has fermented at best, and gone urine-acrid at worst. I've bought too many bags of this to assume it's a rare bad batch; it's a feature, not a bug.

Forget Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans, this is the party food to reach for when you want to play Russian roulette with your taste buds. Will you get the deliciously sweet, all natural ripe mango, while your buddy bites into the distillation of a backwoods bar? Or will you be the one biting into something full of piss and vinegar, while your buddy goes to mango heaven?
