tgamazon: This is not delicate wire, I’m using it to tie barbed wire to T-post and it’s working perfectly…I also repaired a umbrella with it…This wire twists pretty easy with just your fingers if you have at least an inch or so length hanging out, also twists up nicely with pliers…And for the price you get a good amount of wire, I Will absolutely buy this product again…tg

Tharin: It's odd to see people downgrading this stuff for being exactly the way it's supposed to be. I have bought this twice because it's strong, predictable, flexible enough to wrap around itself by hand on a screw eye, absolutely rust free, and forgiving of my putting a ridiculous amount of tension on it. It will hold my excessive unhealthy weight.

I can shove spare extra lumber on top of this wire after stringing it across the bottom edges of open rafters in the garage. Has never broken nor stretched over the 24 inch spaces it spans.

ALL steel wire will stretch, depending on how you work it, over longer distances. However, I haven't re-tensioned the first roll at all since stringing a bunch of lights three years ago. One run is 53 feet with 50 lights on it. I needed something like this because it's ruinous to the light string to put any meaningful tension directly to a string and so you have to support the string on something like this. Don't bother with cables as that's huge and expensive overkill and they're hard to terminate. Don't use poly or fabric line; they WILL sag.

Harrington: I wanted to create an outdoor hanging light display over my deck furnishings, so, based on some other reviews and some designing, I combined the OOK 50143 200' 16 Gauge Galvanized Steel Wire with TR Industrial TR88302 Multi-Purpose Cable Ties, Sunye Max power 200W waterproof outdoor String lights Wireless remote control, Brightech Ambience Pro LED Commercial Grade Outdoor Light Strand (48’), and some heavy duty I-bolts I picked up from my local hardware store (I needed to put my hands on the I-bolts to get the exact size of the eye, thickness of the bolt, and the length of screw that I needed for the project). I set the I-bolts in known studs then wove the steel wire through the bolts to create a framework for the light strand and the remote-control box. The wire comes spooled, so you have to unravel and straighten the wire carefully to ensure you avoid any unwanted lumps in the final use and avoid dropping the spool which can create a bit of a difficult mess (I dropped mine once and ended up with some lumpy twists that I had to cut out of my project).
