Amazon Customer: I have nothing to compare these to as the only markers I’ve used are crayola and sharpie. These are obviously levels above those brands. I’m in a fashion drawing class and we have to render our sketches in color. My teacher recommended this brand and I think this is great if you don’t want to spend the money on the more expensive brands. Once you learn how to draw and color with markers it becomes easy. These look like I painted. The final result doesn’t look like marker at all. Of course use marker paper to get the best outcome. This is a great price for the amount of color options you get. If you are just starting out, I would get these. Even if you are experienced, these work very well.

Kayla AKayla A: I’m a beginner! I have a handful of COPIC markers and I wanted to try a cheaper alcohol marker before splurging on a full set of COPICs. After using these, I will definitely be purchasing the COPICs. These markers are not bad by ANY MEANS, but I do prefer the latter. Here’s why:

These markers do not have a brush tip (see pic), which takes away a lot of the smoothness and control that you get with COPICs. The color just doesn’t go on as easily so it can get streaky if you don’t blend/transition well. I’ll admit - it is possible that this is due to the type of paper I’m using (again, I’m a beginner.) I also feel like there isn’t a ton of color variety in the 80 pack, so if you do buy these - it may be worth the extra money to get a larger pack.

On a positive note, these marker do not have a foul smell or any smell at all. The ink does not leak into the lid like the COPIC markers do (see pic). They are easy to hold. Also, I love that the markers came with a carrying case and piece of plastic to put behind your art to avoid any bleeding.

EmZed: These were my very first alcohol markers and I bought them in 2019. I'm no professional artist but I do scrapbooking and other fun hobbies. They have lasted me AMAZINGLY through the years!!! It's 2023 and I haven't had a single marker dry up yet and I use them very often. The colors are all very vibrant which is lovely. I do see that now they have brush tips which I am excited for, but have no reason to purchase yet because the ones I have right now are still lasting me so well!!! I will say, as with all alcohol based markers, THESE WILL BLEED!! Some people don't know that. Even on thickish paper, you might see some small bleeding poking through. For me this was not the end of the world, the color and price not to mention durability of the markers is well worth some bleed. Overall I highly recommend this brand for alcohol markers! I would suggest most people get the brush and fine tip version (brush tip is better than chisel in my opinion) but regardless, amazing markers for all uses!!

book loverbook lover: EVERYTHING you could want to know or think about with the ohuhu markers:
For a first time user of alcohol markers, they were phenomenal. To an extent. If you are just thinking about color variety and not the marker aspect it is somewhat lacking. They offer warm and cool grays in a decent range that I feel most sets neglect as well as a great black. My picture shows (my more recent purchase) the 100 set. Looking at this set you can see there are a wide range of colors but if you look closely you will see missing of browns and your blues and greens are neglected having less range in their colors and the purple THE FEW purples they have are all warm more red-toned purples.

So to list just in a sort of more in-depth flaws:

1. Your first 20ish markers (at least in the 100 set) are all reds and pinks (The 80 set matches just with fewer markers from each grouping)

2. There are barely any browns meaning barely any skin tones

3. I've seen different artists with colorless blenders and overall I feel like there are more colors than they actually sell and its always random which ones and how many of each colors you get. If you buy the 80 set your florescent...
