Mosquito bite through the bottom of hammock if used without any sleeping pad or blanket. But that's normal with any kind of poly or nylon hammock.

Amazon Customer: Product is fantastic! Been taken backcountry camping in Algonquin, Ontario and withheld to the May weather.
All rope, clips, etc. are durable and high quality. The tarp given in thin, but it withheld a rainfall in May. Would need a thicker tarp for winter camping.
With the mosquito net that is attached - it would be nice if it did come completely off, that way you could use it in the day as a hammock... maybe they will make another product like that.
Be aware to put it away when done - a squirrel ate through the product at one point after one use - company gave replacement.

Lukasz Jozwinski: Inside the package you got what you need to do some hammocking.

The range to hang it is between 3-5 meters.

The best thing about it is that you can pack it back to all the bags it came in (for most products it's pain in the back).

All lines, hangers and carabiners included. You do not need to buy anything else.

If you plan to sleep when it's 15 deg C or less ... get underquilt ... it's different experience than sleeping in the tent on the insulating matt.

But for this price you can't find anything better.

Bill F.: You'll have to find a good spot for your hammock, of course, but it set up nicely, keeping out the swamp angels (mosquitoes). Comfortable and the cover works well for those late night showers. Stows well too, taking up very little room in your pack.

Mely.Mely.: I bought these for my boyfriend and I to go back country camping with. We just got back from a very rainy 6 day trip through Algonquin and we are very happy with our hammocks.

First: hammock sleeps are THE BEST sleeps I have ever had while camping. I can’t believe how rested I felt. We took our inflatable under pads as well to put in the bottom of our hammocks and that helped a lot with keeping us laying a bit flatter.

Overall the Oak Creek hammocks performed quite well, and we were both very impressed with them.

As far as I am concerned, the rain fly is the weakest part of the the entire design. Thankfully, despite encountering wind and heavy rain, we didn’t have a combo of wind AND heavy rain at the same time, otherwise we would have had wet heads or feet. I will definitely be investing in a better tarping system for my hammock!

I also wish there was a little loop in the inside to hang a light from!

Otherwise, I was extremely happy with my Oak Creek hammock and definitely recommend hammock camping to everyone! I wish I could sleep that well at home!

Kelly Chappina: Wonderful hammock! It held my weight well, and was able to sleep on my side of course had to do carefully, lol. The straps are sturdy and well made. I of course for my instructions but was able to figure it out, later I found out I was pretty close. If you plan to use hammock in cooler or colder weather a sleeping bag would be a must since the cool or cold weather rises under you and the parachute material is thin and allows it to get cold quickly. The rain tarp is huge so worries if getting wet.

Robert B DarrinRobert B Darrin: I needed a new hammock in a pinch for a short notice night hike. This hammock seemed to fill the qualities I was looking for at an acceptable price and arrive before I needed it. I set it up in my back yard to familiarize myself with it before taking it out on the trail. For my likes: The setup was quick and "fairly" painless. The comfort level was acceptable at the price point for a 5'10" person at 200lbs. There were no apparent defects in the stitching. For my dislikes: As stated in other reviews the metal buckles on both tree straps were installed backwards. It was an easy fix for me to simply slide off the strap and reinstall them in the correct position. This would be more painful if I was trying to do it in the dark. The fabric and tree straps had more stretch than I anticipated. I had to hang it nearly 3' up to prevent it from touching the ground. This was even after giving firm pulls on the hanging straps. The hammock itself nearly encapsulates me when inside due to the stretch. The insect screen seems like it will work well, but since the hammock nearly engulfs you, much of the screen is not utilized. The bungee string to hold it off your face works, but...
