Valerie K.: My daughter has been using these cups for about a month, and so far I mostly like them. They aren't too difficult to assemble, and she was able to learn to drink from them (as her first straw cup) pretty quickly. There are a few drawbacks that I've noticed:
- Fluid can sit in the straw so the cup can leak if tipped or upside down.
- The straws slip through holes easily, so I thought I lost some in the dishwasher. I searched Amazon and saw there was no option to buy replacement straws. So if I lose or wreck one, then I have no option for replacements. I would just have to buy a new cup,
Other than these two minor issues, I am liking the cup so far. However, if I purchase another straw cup in the future, I will probably opt to try a new brand to compare.

Suzanna Hales: Within 24 hours my twins had both figured out how to drink from the straw but only with the clear inner straw extension removed and the bottle tilted back like a baby bottle. They didn't immediately pick up on how to suck fluid up with the inner straw extension in and the bottle sitting right side up but I'm happy with how we're using it for now. It's an easy transition from nipple bottles and we can always try the inner extension straw again later. The only real down side I've seen is that although it does keep fluids from spilling, it doesn't vent well and the lid starts to collapse inward until they stop drinking and air can rush in via the straw instead of the vent hole in the top. Not too big of a deal. I may cut a bigger opening in the true vent hole. Maybe that's why they had trouble getting fluid all the way up the straw?

L. Baker: I don't understand the negative reviews either. I have tried every one of the major brands of straw cup now and this, so far, is the only one that doesn't erupt milk from the straw when the cup is just sitting on the table. I have cleaned up countless milk messes with the others. Open the straw cover and the cup erupts milk. Sit the cup on the table with the cover open and come back 10 minutes later to a pool of milk on the table. Don't close the cover at all, ever, and still milk erupts. Put cup in bag and open bag later to find a milk mess. We just haven't had any of those problems with this cup so far. I was ready to give up on straw cups. My only complaint with this cup so far is that my daughter dropped the cup from about 3 feet, trying to get it off the counter and the cup cracked. This was a brand new cup on the first use! The other cup is still going strong 2 months later, though, and has experienced the same type of falls, so perhaps the other one breaking was just a fluke. I'm about to buy 2 more. My 19-month old has had no problem sucking through the straw, so I can't comment on how hard it is to get milk out.

nicMT: Okay, hands down, this is the best cup we've found to date and we have gone through A LOT of cups. Here's why this is our go to for our 2 year old daughter:
- Easy to (dis)assemble: just be sure to line up the top rubber lid with the plastic notches on the lid ring. But inside straw, rubber top (with attached external straw), and ring come apart easily.
- Easy to CLEAN: This is the bane of my husband's existence right now. Until the kiddo manages with a regular cup, we have to clean all these parts and this one allows you to clean everything without tiny crevices where things get impossibly stuck.
- Shape makes it easy for kiddo to hold it
- Fun colors makes this her new favorite: We happen to get the purple/orange and blue/yellow combos.
- Actually does not leak! Usually these are filled with water so there's no issue with that. Only if there is something cold sitting out and warming to room temp does the pressure change and push the liquid to the straw's surface.
I used to be concerned about the exposed straw but I've gotten over that concern. Again, easy to clean so no big deal if it hits the floor. And I know some people mentioned concern about their...

SW: This isn't our favorite, every day use water bottle but we have had them for over a year and are happy with them. They can be a little tricky for the kids to figure out the straw at first but it didn't take long for both my kids to get it (18mo and 3yr). It's mostly leak proof but sometimes built up pressure will have water push out the top.
