L. Mountford: I purchased this specifically to use with handcrafted greeting cards. Some of my designs need a bit of ribbon to add just the right touch, and since I tend to use black and white as a "foundation" color scheme (accented with jewel tones), finding a decent black and white ribbon was key.
The width is perfect (3/8") for making small bows or single knots to add a bit of embellishment. The quality is fine -- just right for my purpose. Not too thin, not too thick. And you get a lot for the money.
I also purchased the navy-and-white version of this, too, as i also use a lot of navy in my card designs. Very happy with this.

Debbie: NOT FOR SEWING--GREAT FOR CRAFTS or WRAPPING GIFTS. This ribbon has ONE edge that is well finished with black thread, but the other edge is only sort of finished but does not look like the good finished edge as it shows a slight bit of the cutting on the edge. For crafts you wouldn't notice it, but you would not want to use this on a lovely sewing project as a trim, but very nice for crafts. Has a nice look feel to it.
