It was easy to install and based on the 2-Bank charger I have on my larger boat for the past 4 years, I expect it to be very reliable and extend the battery life with maintaining function.

Byron SandersonByron Sanderson: I am using the Noco Gen 5x3 to charge and maintain two 12.8v lithium iron phosphate trolling motor batteries along with a standard 12v deep cycle cranking battery on-board my bass boat.
Right out of the box I was in love with this unit... this thing is VERY well made. The button layout is straight forward and the indicator lights are very bright.
Install was a cinch too. The unit has mounting slots on each side to secure it to any surface and the wiring is very straightforward with a 110v power cord and three sets of positive/negative battery connection leads.
This is truely a "set it and forget it" unit. After initially setting your battery type, the charger remembers your preferences and begins charging automatically every time it's plugged in. (Side note: if you need a faster charger... the Gen 10 models double the output power... for my needs, the Gen 5 is fine).
Do yourself a favor, spend a little more and get one of these Noco chargers. You wont be sorry.

Jimmy Redmond: I can't get over how light this 3 bank unit is compared to a MK Precision charger. It is less than half the size and works extremely well. I was able to mount it in the console with my trolling motor batteries, and I mounted it vertically so I could see the readouts much more easily. Have the 2 bank charger in my other boat and it is amazing as well

MichaelE: This is a very elegant, attractive piece of equipment. Installation instructions are clear and easy to follow. This is a great piece of equipment for someone tired to replacing batteries every 1 to 2 years. Reconditioning function saved two out of two batteries for me, more than covering the cost for this equipment in the first 48 hours in my boat. I added the permanent shore power electrical plug in accessory and am very pleased with the ease of use and quality of life increase it brings. Fast delivery, exactly as estimated. This is and easy install for the DIY individuals out there. Elegant and very efficient equipment. You wont be disappointed to have one of these in your boat.

Amazon Customer: This unit has performed for one year as it should. I parked my boat and stupidly did not pull the boat plug. It filled with water and 3 deep cycle batteries dissolved my battery cables and wiring. The charger was completely submerged in this acidic electrically charged swill for two weeks. I took it out cleans the fuse contacts and replaced one terminal lug. It is now charging my new batteries. Never thought there was even a remote chance this unit would still work. It is and I will be purchasing one of these for my other boats!! Nuf Said!!

Laszlo M Marozsan: Very easy to install and get going. Took only a few minutes.
Only thing I would mention, and this is from my own personal experience in the first few days, is that I have one onboard battery exclusively running my refrigerator. It draws about 4.5-5.5 Amps.
The charger maintains the battery, but I have gotten a fault twice now where the charger thinks the battery is no good because it is not keeping charge (especially when the fridge is drawing more than the charger is putting in). So it faults and shuts down that line for charging and my battery discharges. When I shut the fridge off and reset the charger, it will charge that battery back up to full and no issues.
So I might need to return this unit for the 10x3 unit to ensure adequate charge is available to maintain the battery with the fridge going.
But awesome product and easy to install and use. I would recommend these to everyone.
