Che dire rapporto qualità prezzo insuperabile...per un binocolo con prismi a tetto di pari qualità bisogna spendere almeno 3 volte tanto.

Joy Dasgupta: Awesome view. A bit heavy but built like a tank. Strong stuff.

CNH:
I had two pairs of bins that grew legs (grrr) so I needed to replace them. Based on specs I had a hard time deciding what to get -- I wear glasses and use mine for sporting events, light bird watching, hikes, and keeping an eye on my livestock. I ordered this and the Bushnell Legend L 8x42. Although they are really so comparable the decision was tough, I will be keeping the Bushnells.
These bins supposedly had better glass (dielectric high-reflective Multilayer Prism coating which is only available on the Bushnell M version) but the images were nearly identical. Quite often I felt the bushnells were sharper. Both did well in high direct sun, indirect light, dusk and at night for moon looking. Both have weather and fog protection.
This has better eye relief but the Bushnells were adequate. In the end the decision came down to the little details. These are heavier and take up more space. The Bushnells have a locking dioptic adjuster (it is a bit hard to operate but it's there). They also were easier/faster to bring into focus. Lastly the protective caps on the Bushnells are just better -- the wide ends are attached to the bins and the narrow ones...

Stewart Turcotte: Very happy with the binocs. Thay have good size, easy focus, large viewing area, comfortable outer soft covering making them exceptional for the price. We use them primarily for birding.

J J Wren: I currently have over 10 pairs of binoculars going back to the 80's(including my original pair of Nikon Travelite 9x25 compact binos). The two pair of Nikon Monarchs that I own are great roof prisms with the Monarch3 8x36 being my favorite compact roof prism vs the slightly bulkier/heavier Monarch5 10x42(which is still a great bino!) The Nikon Trailblazer 10x50 roof prism is a good tough bino but not quite the same caliber as the Monarchs so I rarely use them now. I originally bought the Nikon Action porro prism zoom 10-22x50 which impressed me so much as to the lens and build quality for the money spent that I decided to buy the these Action Extreme 8x40 binos that I am now reviewing. First off these Action Extreme binos are as apparently indestructible as you can get; fogproof, waterproof, rubber armored, super easy fast focus, clear crisp image, wide field of view and very comfortable and natural in the hands. They are of much better build quality than the plain Action 8x30 binos and are worth the extra few $$ spent in my opinion. Being as how the Action Extreme binos are built like an armored battle tank their only drawback is the slightly heavier weight(which...

Mike. R:
I purchased these for use on an Alaskan cruise where the weather is notoriously damp (rain, fog), so being waterproof was a must. I considered the Bushnell H2O for about $40 cheaper, but since I was extremely happy with my small 10x25 Nikon binoculars I decided to spring for these. Boy am I glad I did. First, be aware that these are fairly heavy, especially if you are used to the more compact models. They seem to be at least twice as heavy as the three sets of compact binoculars I have, including Nikon, Pentax and Alpen. Part of this is certainly because of the much larger objective lens and rubberized shell needed for waterproofing, but the Action EX Extreme's use a completely metal internal structure that also adds weight (but makes them much more durable). The binoculars come with a very nice, wide neck strap, individual cups for the objective lenses, and a double cup for the eye pieces. Each of these parts also has a slot on the side so you can hang them from your strap when not in use. Nice touch. The case is also large and sturdy, unlike the canvas-like case you often get with cheaper binoculars (like the Alpens I have)
Now to performance. I'm fairly...
